Hi everyone!
I would like to know what your real name means?
My real name's David Magsalin..
I don't know if there is a meaning to my first name, David..
But a friend told me that my last name, Magsalin, in Tagolog (the language in the Philippines)
means 'pour'
So, I was wondering...
What does YOUR real name mean?

Hm, i'm Eva Oblak. I don't know if Eva means anithing but Oblak in my language(Slovenian) means claud. That kind of sucks, doesnt it? -_- :\

My name? Well, it's quite long: John Pieter Simon Laurent Salomo Sinaga. It's obvious: John, Pieter (a little modification of Peter), and Simon are the name of the Saints, although Simon and Peter refer to the same person. If I'm not mistaken, my mom said that Peter means rock (derived from Greek's Petra), thus I must become a consistent, loyal person (toward God especially). I forget 'bout John and Laurent. Salomo is Indonesian for Solomon, means "Peace", however more well-known for his God-granted wisdom, thus hoping that I become a wise, God-inspired person (and please exclude historical Solomon's harems). As my family name is actually the name of one of the ancient king of Batak ethnic (again, if I'm not mistaken). Quite long, isn't it? Well, I'm firstborn son, and in our society, firstborn son carry all hopes of our parents, and thus, they give name that represents their hope. Very religious, aren't they? Haha, most of Batakneses are Christians, and in our mainland (N. Sumatera) most are conservative Lutherans.

I can't believe you don't know the greatest king of Israel ever. His name means "Beloved One".

mohammed = thankful
( im not really thankful though :P)

My name is Shiri, it means "My song" or "Sing" in hebrew :)

My first name means: Rose, Flower, Princess, Girl <- Different person said different meanings... But i think the idea is still the same...
Last name (not a family name) means: Loved by god

@ Bumble-Bee: Sinaga? That's an obvious Batak name :) I think I've heard that name somewhere before...

I've heard that my first name, which is Alia, means ascension (Hebrew I think)...plus what makes it even cooler is that I was named for one of the main characters in Frank Herbert's Dune... as for my last name, I know it has to be Tagalog since I'm half filipina, but I don't know what it means unfortunately

John - English form of Iohannes, which was the Latin form of the Greek name Ιωαννης (Ioannes), itself derived from the Hebrew name יוֹחָנָן (Yochanan) meaning "YAHWEH is gracious".

I have no idea what my last name means, but my first name, Catherine, supposedly means "pure" but BehindTheName.com gives multiple possibilities for the meaning of my name.

Quote: CATHERINE
Gender: Feminine
Usage: English, French
Pronounced: KATH-u-rin (English), KATH-rin (English), ka-TREEN (French)
English variant and French form of KATHERINE [/

KATHERINE
Gender: Feminine

Usage: English

Pronounced: KATH-u-rin, KATH-rin [key]

From the Greek name (Aikaterine). The etymology is debated: it could derive from the earlier Greek name (Hekaterine), which came from (Hekateros) "each of the two"; it could derive from the name of the goddess HECATE; it could be related to Greek (aikia) "torture"; or it could be from a Coptic name meaning "my consecration of your name". The Romans associated it with Greek (katharos) "pure" and changed their spelling from Katerina to Katharina to reflect this. The name belonged to a 4th-century saint and martyr from Alexandria who was tortured on the famous Catherine wheel. Another saint by this name was Catherine of Siena, a 14th-century mystic. This name was also borne by two empresses of Russia, including Catherine the Great, and by three of Henry VIII's wives.

My mom, who named me, said she was always under the impression that "Catherine" meant "pure," but I was still very disturbed by the bloodiness of some of the possible etemologies. *shrug* Oh well.

Jason; it's Greek, it means "healer"

My name means ''SAint and water''
and I am a saint....lol...kiddin'

My name means "crown" in greek ^^.

My name...Natsuki, It literally means "summer tree."

my name is vincent and it means to "to occupy", "to conquer", and "to be victorious",

Funny I haven't won any. Nor occupied or conquered.

My real name is, basically, a combination of my parents' names. It doesn't have an exact meaning, but it can be derived from an English word meaning "happy", which I rarely fell consciously. *lol*

My brother made fun of my name once. It turned out that the "pun name" he gave me is exactly the name given to the female counterpart of the god of thunder, Zeus, so it was kinda cool. ;)

My real name is also carried by a world famous band, whose vocalist is Jon Bongiovi. (Er...no, its not "Jon") ^_^'
