Math's okay. It definitely helps a person out in life. However, I do find it a
problem when I have to learn in school that a squared times b squared equals c
squared. Why? because this is the only time in my life that I'll use something
like that. Trust me, unless you aim at getting a job programing computers or say
a career as a rocket scientist (which by the way are the only reason why
equations like the pothagarean theorm were made in the first place), your fine
just learning addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.
Trust me, there really all you need in life.
i luv math! i mean, its hard and complex but its like a puzzle u kno that u
gotta work rly hard on to figure out, everything in math makes sense u kno wut i
mean?
i like it!its so interesting, especially the e-maths curriculum i'm learning
now.but i'm failing my a-maths but i
still dont hate it.i mean, maths is essential in our lives right?everything we
do is somewhat calculated.imagine a world without a calender, or numbers for
counting, which means trading is impossible...blahblahblah.yea
It's a love hate relationship for me. I like math because some parts of it I
understand. I hate math because of all those formulas/work/hmw. I did horrible
in math....now i'm slightly improving and kinda enjoy parts of it with the help
of my tutor.
yep, definitely hate it. cause im too lazy to even look at the numbers. whenever
the word "math" comes to my mind, sleepyness follows. haha...that's as
common math there. mind + maths = sleepyness. LOL. but it's only certain
chapters in math that i like...but there's not much.
Totally agree~ since small I've always hated Maths, maybe I really dislike/poor
seeing those numbers. I'm so terrible at it, much more worst than studying the
science stubject.
i personally do not love math. it's my worst subject, but not because i'm stupid
or can't do it. in fact, i'd be willing to bet money that a lot of you peeps who
say you're bad at math are really not. i'm not being preachy and saying 'oh
you're just lazy, you have to work harder at it' like you've probably heard so
many times. but what a lot of people don't know is that there's a big reason why
a lot of people, especially non-whites (not trying to insult anyone here, i
dunno peeps' ethnicity) do not do well in math. it's because we learn
differentlt.
seriously. there's the 2 hemispheres of the brain, right? the left side and the
right side. well, there are people who learn more strongly with the right side,
ones who learn more strongly with the left side, and the lucky few who seem to
use both to the same extent. in america at least, the education system teaches
to the left-brain learners in a sequential order. this is hard for those of us
who think mostly with the right side, in pictures and in 'whole' concepts. we
learn things all at once, and retain it, or not at all. the lefties learn in
steps and greatly benefit from this left-oriented system.
i mentioned races earlier for one reason. that is, that caucasians tend to be
more left-brained (i'm one of the exceptions ^_^). but an australian researcher
studying this phenomena found that in asians, blacks, native americans and
hispanics, in that order, have a greater amount of right-brained thinkers. no
surprise, since most asain countries use pictograms for written language. but
the point of this rant of mine is that how the hell are we righties in a
left-brained society, or ANY society, supossed to flourish in an educational
system designed for people who think completely different than us!?
please, i encourage everyone to look up ASL (audio-sequential) and VSL
(visual-spatial) learning. i have been looking into it for the past couple
months and it has answered so many questions about myself, and helped me in my
academic life.
I went through phases. Overall ... I don't think I ever hated it or loved it.
(probaly for a split sec when I got a good or bad test score back)
I can say I liked in year 11 though; I got A's and enjoyed the class. But then I
detested it in year 12 because my grades dropped (I still believe it was because
the friend who was with me in year 11 was put into a different class so therefor
I lost my luck and motivation to beat her)
...I can't recall any formulas! haha! (ooh c2=a2+b2 ... thats the only one I can
be certain about lol)
Its kinda strange for me. Ever since I entered High School I always hated Maths
even though I was the best at it in Junior High. I could nevr understand the
subject and I would always fail it. Plus I got relatively easy teachers at that
stage too. Now that I'm in fifth form (that would translate to grade 10 in the
american system) and I had to do this really hard exam to finish high school I
all of a sudden became the best in the subject (well second best, there's this
guy that I can't seem to beat) and I got a crappy teacher too who didn't care
whiether you understood or not. I guess its because I was no longer babysat and
spoon feed from the other teachers that gave me the push to go home and start
learning the stuff.
Also some one told me that the best way to study is to practise some maths. It
gets the brain stimulated and that you study alot better. Mind you though, all
this could do in the end is give you a headache. Although I haven't tried this
technique per say, it those make alot of sense though.

Hmm... I donno it's not the most exiting thing.. but i don't hate it..

Not really good with numbers. But I knida enjoy it. I only start to hate it once I don't understand it though...
I love geomethry ....but..maths ..ya ..maybe it sucks
I am not good with mat, but I respect htose who do. I believe I'm just too lazy to actually try tp understand everything.
I enjoy maths classes so i guess i l0ve it
May
be I'm not good at it but i find it veeeeery interesting ^^
It's a love hate relationship for me. I like math because some parts of it I understand. I hate math because of all those formulas/work/hmw. I did horrible in math....now i'm slightly improving and kinda enjoy parts of it with the help of my tutor.
maths should die.
i love it but because my mathematic score is alwasy bad so i dont really like it
Love math. My major relies on it!
yep, definitely hate it. cause im too lazy to even look at the numbers. whenever the word "math" comes to my mind, sleepyness follows. haha...that's as common math there. mind + maths = sleepyness. LOL. but it's only certain chapters in math that i like...but there's not much.
i like math. i think it is difficult but can also be fun.
Well, math is easy for me. It's just the matter of how much hw i get of it. lol.
Totally agree~ since small I've always hated Maths, maybe I really dislike/poor seeing those numbers. I'm so terrible at it, much more worst than studying the science stubject.
Not good at it, but I'm somehow a year ahead in it. I still love it either way.

I like math, not love, like. Because I'm really good at it.
Just by thinking we could translate the physical phenomena through mathematics, it grows my math-loving!
I respect math, however I don't like it myself, esp the higher level stuff. Too abstract for my tastes.
Loved it when i am running Mathematics' Sessions min 2 hrs per day...Dread it when i am rusty with it. Lol. Overall, i loved Maths.
