My favorite manga is Yokohama Kaidashi
Kikou (Yokohama shopping trip log), an utterly gorgeously drawn manga
with great characters and a rather interesting view of the future. In second
place, I have Aria, mostly for the same reasons.
Other manga I like: 3x3 Eyes, Ah! My Goddess, Negima, Inuyasha, Ranma, Kazan,
Nausicaa, Detective Conan (called Case Closed in the US, I think. I'm getting
the Norwegian version), Chobits and Love Hina.
I like most of the manga of Seino Shizuru (mangaka of Heaven!, Jun'ai Tokkou
Taichou, Power!/Girl Got Game) She has really funny manga so if you like funny
manga . I also recommend manga of Hino Matsuri(Merupuri, Vampire Knight,
Wanted), most of them contain romance. Tsukuba Sakura (Kakumei Revolution,
Yoroshiku Master, Mekkushi no Kuni) has great manga too most of them are
romance/fantasy..
whoa.. you should read Death Note for sure...
i really like the artwork and the "deep" plots that Takeshi Obata and
Yumi Hotta made..
i also read Naruto (of course) and One Piece at this time since the Bleach manga
is not yet available in my place..
and i also agree that Ranma 1/2 is also a good one.. it's very very un-serious
manga that you need no concentration to read it.. hehe.. just read and laugh for
this one..
Hoo boy, the list could be quite long for I too am a manga enthusiast!
~Fruits Basket- Definitely a MUST READ if you like romance/drama/comedy (Much
better than the anime!) More backstory about the characters and you actually get
to meet ALL the members of the zodiac!
~ Samurai Deeper Kyo- Even though it takes a couple of volumes to get to the
really juicy storyline, stick with it! Love the characters and the action
panels! (Action)
~ X (or X/1999)- Excellent storyline and in true CLAMP style, the artwork is
beautiful! Now, if only CLAMP would finish the series... (There was some setback
because the storyline they were planning on ended up being too similar to a
current event/tragedy that happened in Japan...) Action/drama
~GetBackers- Bishies and good storyline! Very funny and interesting! Have not
watched the anime so I don't know how similar the storyline is.
Action/Comedy
For Sports manga:
~Prince of Tennis- Full of bishies. (That's pretty much the only reason I still
read it. ) But I suppose if you like tennis then the storyline would be okay...
and/or
~Whistle- This one has turned out to be quite a nice little series. Kind of
formulaic (But then again aren't most Shonen Jump manga kinda the same? ) but
the characters are nicely drawn and it's a good storyline if you like soccer!
I mentioned the Tekken Chinmi manga
before as I find it a refreshingly good story on kungfu and its techniques -
unlike many other kungfu books that simply rely on graphics/illusion to
illustrate that character X is more powerful than character Y. Unfortunately it
does not seem to be commonly known and combined with the fact that it is an old
release, it's unlikely new-comers would have heard of it.
But seriously it is one of the best kungfu manga I have ever read.
I read lots of manga and I like many titles!
DNAngel,
Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne,
Prince of Tennis,
Yami no Matsuei,
Vampire Knight,
Merupuri,
Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden- A really good read!
FullMetal Alchemist is the best manga in the entire world~!
Most of the manga i've read are actually better than the anime~ such as: Prince
of Tennis, Yakitate Japan!, Bleach (only somtimes), Slam Dunk, Kenshin, Black
Cat, Ai o Aoshi, Spiral... i could go on forever ^^
i would definitely recommend everyone to get their hands on all the good mangas
as much as they can!
Here is Greenwood, Petshop of Horrors, Demon Diary, Please Save My Earth,
Yotsuba&!, Card Captor Sakura, One Piece, Hikaru no Go, Saiyuki... I could
go on forever too.
Yay! everyone likes Furuba (Fruits Basket if you don't know)!
I've watched the whole Full Metal Alchemist series but never read the manga.
Haru (aka Swifts) read Tenchi Muyo or watch the anime. It's old but it's your
kinda humor. (I should know!)
Oh yeah hurry up and buy Furuba 10 so I can read it!
Have you read One Piece yet? The Anime's great and Kyo has the first book!
Well currently i love these series Girls Bravo, Neon genesis evangelion.
evangelion angelic days, Maburaho, mahoromatic maid, and FullMetal Panic. these
are just some of the manga i love. i hope i can find more great one's.
>o<! Mangas are the best! ... hmm... loved Hot Gimmick... Snow drop...
Sensual Phrase... Hana Kimi... Full moon... Angel sanctuary... Aishiteruze
baby... Good luck... Kodocha...Mekakushi no Kuni... hmmm... the Saiyuki
series... theres more but yee... =w=+
I'll recommend four my self. Check out XXXholic and Tsubasa, by Clamp, for
fantasy. Check out Ruruouni Kenshin, by Nobuhiro Watsuki, and Chrono Crusade, by
Daisuke Moriyama, for some drama mixed with action. I'd write what each one is
about, but that takes too long to type. Currently, I am reading D.N. Angel, by
Yukiru Sugisaki. So far, I find it to be worth my time.
They've been said already but i'd highly recommend Death Note, Chrno Crusade,
Tsubasa Chronicles, Fruits Basket, and Love Hina. Also i really liked .Hack,
Wish, RahXephon, Bleach, Naruto, Decendants of Darkness, + many many
more^^
Everyone loves manga but if there is a manga that u love pls tell me i am manga fanatic so i wanna get some new reads.
you have to check out the ragnorok and rebirth seires! they're so kool! d.n.angel is also a good one
I love Fullmoon wo Sagashite! It's very nice, you should read if you like shojo mangas.
Fruits Basket is also a good one, I like it alot!
And if you are not a shojo-manga reader, I'd recommend Death Note and One Piece (though the Anime is exactly the same).

Black cat is fab!
do you like Inuyasha? coz if you do you might like Ranma 1/2it's great and it's funny, it's by the same artist
My favorite manga is Gunnm (better known to americans as Battle Angel Alita). Since it's old, not many ppl know about it. Which is a shame.
I am currently reading Hot Gimmick which is all drama! Its a good Shojo! ^-^

Nanoha...this one is actually pretty cool, if you're patient, and still watch it until the middle episode.
