600$'s what the @#$! IS SONY THINKING. i've been a sony fan since the playstion
or PS one which ever you want to call it and this is how they thank the fans of
sony by bring out a system most normal people can't afford. i got my hand on the
ps3's spec's and really you not paying for much more. i mean blue ray if you
already have a dvd player why rebuy al the same movies again. in fact their a
rumor not every movie will not even be blue ray compatible. plus the ps3
controller will no longer have a rumble feature. instead it will have a tilt
feature that only work's with a few of it's games. so far the only redeeming
thing most people talk about is the fact that it's part computer a 600 Dollar
computer? but as sony said you not paying for price your paying for potential.
What a Crock no offence to anyone planing to buy one but i'll stick with my ps2
their are still alot great games for that and the price won't kill ya so pretty
much all i have to say to all the people who are certain on buying a PS3 GOOD

I have been with sony ever since the PSX and god knows I love it and the games
it has always offered but with this I'm very close to selling myself to
nintendo; sony has no consideration for its consumers...not everyone can afford
to spend 600 for a game console, its just insane and on a more superficial

600dollar is a little bit too much for such a thing. The Ps3 is for younger
people, but how became this people the money. Yes from his parents but in this
time I dont think that there is one normal family how have so many money for his
kind only too buy a Ps3.

$600? Thats cheap! Compare to estimated retail prices in Australia, it will
probably be around $1000. People will still buy it. Because even if people don't
have money, there is still always CREDIT. Loans, borrowings, winnings, gambling
and theft to get one of theses consoles.
Galian, the 360 does have a Square game. FFXI. The put on the 360 and the
controller is good.
The 360's controller is pretty nice, its the game library that needs the work
done on it (hopefully 2007 will take care of that).
People will still buy it, but a hell of a lot less people than those who bought
PS2s, and I doubt market shrinkage and reduced profits were part of Sony's
master plan, but hey its their money and not mine.

because if enough people don't buy the ps3 sony will have no choice but to drop
the price. everyone that reads this if your tring to drop the price try doing

if THE PRICE DOESN'T DROP NINTENDO WII here i come with it's price tag of only
249$ or lower that price part hasn't been undecied by nintendo yet but still you
can't go wrong. but hey if you got money to by all means go out and get a PS3
when it really all boils down to is you.
I know $600 is a bit much for a gaming console...xbox 360 is about $200 cheaper
than PS3. But I see a lot of potential on the PS3 and if Sony and it's
accompanying games will live up to what they showed on E3 this year then by
golly I'm getting myself one. If you get that much awesomeness for video games
then $600 is a good investment for me. Besides, the playstation always did have
better titles than any other gaming console out there.
I would wait for at least 6 months to a year before I go out and buy a
"PS3". In time, the price will come down and yes, there will be
inprovements made and the "bugs" will be solved. Just look at the
"flat screen plasma and LCD television sets. When they first came out, wow
! Too expensive to even look at, made me cry. Now, the price is coming down and
they are getting better.
I wouldn't be surprised if the companies that make the gaming systems will only
make soo many units to sell. This will make the prices "artificially
high", so they want to control the prices to their advantage.

To be honest...I never been big fan of Sony games or playstation...But I got
admit that graphic..looks great...probably greater than xbox 360...too bad 600
dollars...plus games...well you got to be pushing about 750 dollars if you plan
to buy more games.
PS3 may have edge...well I personally already made a choice that I will buy
Wii...they have good things..you can download old games from nintendo...i
consider myself retro game player...i like lot older games...who can forget
"super star wars, zelda, etcs) lot good games. and old games gonna be

Resident Evil 5 is on 360 as well so I wouuldn't worry about Capcom going PS3
excusive, especially considering the support they gave the GameCube and the fact
they are already developng at least one Wii title.
I completely agree with you EarthAngel1, this is just getting rediculous. I do
plan on buying the PS3, but I expect that to be around 3-5 years from now when
the price has come waaaaaaaayyyy down which I still dont think that it will. and
yes there are still plenty of great games for the PS2 that are already out and
are coming out so theres no real reason to pay that much for it now.

It is crazy, and to get it fully loaded you have to pay $600 (as it is said a
lesser version for $500 will be available but comes w/o the good stuff) but it
is a lot of money regardless. But, I am an adult, I don't drink or smoke or
waste money, and if I add up all the money my clubbing & smoking friends
spend and save it, I can but a PS3, be healthier, and wealthier in the end. I
think it depends on what you value and want and how u save and entertain
yourself... Personal opinion
