Have u ever been able to control your dreams/dream? (I don't mean
daydreaming)
wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone could control thier own dreams every
night?
and decide what's going to happen, where they wanna be, and to be able to
control thier own body
in the dream.
Honestly, I think thats possible!
Usually a dream seems almost like a movie ur watching...but I really Can control
my dreams sometimes. maybe not always the whole dream but sometimes I'm able to
control my body and thoughts @_@
it really seems like a dream come true
The Secret of "Dreamcontrolling" is that u have to realize that ur in
a dream!
well...Sweet Dreams~~
PS. In case ur wondering...I don't dream perverted dreams and then control
them...I know I'm a 16 year old guy but...still...I don't...
hmmm........ I do not think that controlling your dreams is possible. If so no
one would ever have nightmares. The closest i can go to controlling dreams is
the ability to wake myself up if i'm having a really really bad nightmare. I can
just will myself awake and it works!
This only happens after I wake up, realize I'm still tired, then drift off
again, and only near the end of the dream do I sometimes have any ability to
control the dream. Since it's Summer right now, I'm able to occasionally fall
back to sleep (I also have Summer School). What leonardobarba said, about
"thinking when sleeping" makes a lot of sense, in a way...
Thanks for bringing this up, it's an interesting topic!
Well most of the time it simply kicks in by itself.
I didn't have to try to achieve it, it just happened one day.... It can be lots
of fun even tho certain feats require concentration.
Controlling all your dreams on the other hand wouldn't be that good imho. I
mean it would simply spoil some of them wouldn't it?
yay, sometimes... in your dreams you figure what you are dreaming , oo;;
then you may begin to control it/your dream *-*, what you want to happen or what
to do..@-@, blahblahblah/your dream may be at your wish .., @@*~
wow good topic. I believe dreams are the unconscious of urself speaking out. So
nope I cant control my dreams. Sometime sI think I am controlling my dream but
in actuality I am thinking deeply but not truely sleep. I believe once I did
actually succeed in doing this though but then i pushed too far(ya know
fantasing too much ) and
woke up lol. Your unconscious self is different than urself.
all i have to say is this. who is the idiot that said one can control their
dreams!? i want to meet that person and see if they could ever control their dreams. i mean how can you. i
thought we could but then i realized that dreams controlling is probably never
going to happen. when one sleeps the enter a stage of mental unconsciousness
where the minds just stops all voluntary funtions. so how can you control
anything then?
I do the same thing as TrigunPreacherGirl, as in sometimes I wake up while still
having a dream, and if I woke up slowly enough I can still remember the dream.
So I can change it a bit and control it then go back to sleep.
Most of the time I just wake up and forget though, which is really annoying as
you know you had a dream, you just don't know what about.
uhm depends what kind of dream i can NEVER control nightmares..
normal dreams only if im half awake so i kinda think what i awnt to happen and
then it happendsXD
hehe, Thanks everyone for ur interests
And to u guys who's trying to control ur dreams and haven't succeded...
well...maybe we can try to find a way to control it (ok...i don't really believe
it's gonna happen...finding a way to control it....but we can try just for fun
)
ok, I'll start...hmmm...
I've just done this once(bcuz I didn't dare to do it again )
anyway.... b4 I fell asleep *lying on my bed*, I was very focused...and tried to
stay conscious while
sleeping......have to say...It Didn't Work....At all
there was very much consciousness and no sleeeep at all
hahaha, I think we will face many sleepless nights ahead of us when trying
eachothers ideas(IF any.. )
PS. It IS possible! "midnightLOVERS" but
just sometimes.....
Quote by midnightLOVERSall i have

Lucid dreaming is a scientifically recognized phenomenon. Contrary to popular
belief one is not unconscious when asleep, sleep is simply another level of
consciousness. This is why people can hear things while asleep, respond to pain,
even open their eyes and sleep walk.
And "thinking while sleeping" doesn't make much sense as dreams are
essentially your own thoughts, though often symbolic in nature.
Essentially, lucid dreaming is defined as a dream where one realizes they are
dreaming and can thus control what occurs in the dream. Think about your dreams,
quite often (in my experience) you are quite alert during them but simply don't
realize it is a dream (despite the fact you are watching such odd things occur).
There are even tests one can do to prove they are in a dream, i.e the famous
pinch test to see if they feel pain.
Thus realizing you are in a dream is all it takes to control that dream. People
still have nightmares simply because what is in a dream can seem so real no
matter how bizarre it is, and when you're scared to death you're not going to be
wondering if something is real or not.
I myself have realized I was in a dream a few times in my life (once having
enough time before waking up to make myself fly through the air in the dream),
but much more common is the dream where you wake up in the dream and think about
the dream you just had, not realizing you are still dreaming! The
dream within the dream as it were, which can occur with nightmares where a
person wakes up in the dream many times to experience the same nightmare.
Dreaming is supposed to be a way for you subconcious to speak out. It's supposed
to be a way for you subconcious self to work out problems and such. Like
Ryodraco said, it's simply another level of conciousness.
So why, pray tell, would you want to control your dreams? If your concious self
controls them then whats the point of dreaming (or trying to communicate with
your subconcious)?
I suppose the idea of controlling your dreams is interesting, but if you follow
my [vague] reasoning, then all you're really doing is supressing your true needs
and/or desires ...
It doesn't work for me. But when i'm watching TV all night and thinking of a lot
of stuff about that TV show then I sometimes dream about that. So yeah...I think
it is possible to control your dreams but it never always works, you need to
have nightmares and random dreams about anything. If you always controled your
dreams, it wouldn't be that fun after awhile then would it? For example if you
watched a scary movie at night then had a nightmare about the movie, you knew
what your dream was going to be about then right?
So you always don't know what your dream is going to be about but sometimes you
can control your dreams just like with watching scary movies you know you'll
have a nightmare after that and you do. If you were talking about something else when you are actually sleeping to
control your dreams then my mistake. I don't know if you can control your dreams
when you are sleeping but I bet if you thought really hard when you were
sleeping, you could control the dream. I know that's possible though, some
people actually can but it doesn't happen very often...
Hmm even if it were possible, I don't want to control my dreams. Dreams give
vital clues to your sub-concious thoughts without the overlay and distractions
of reality. I've been able to force myself to wake up from dreams sometimes,
however I don't want to actually control what I dream.
What freedom do dreams give your mind if you enslave them to conscious thought?
i think i can control my "dream body" in the "dream world"
and it feels the same as controling my normal body. i cannot however, control
the environment or anything i wouldn't be able to in "reality". the
only difference is when i would be hurt in a dream i wake up.

How to Lucid Dream
this is the site i found it gives u like step by step instructions on how to do it
Yes, I am able to but sometimes not as freely as I would want. Nice site It's very informitive.
I haven't dreamed in awhile though. I think its because of all the late night anime watching on adult swim
