Music sharing has always been a heated debate these days. What about you guys?
Do you download music off of a free music server/program or do you support the
artist by buying the OSTs? Myself, I only download a track if I can't find an
OST anywhere.
It depends...if the music/album is really good than I buy the cd, but if I don't
know if I'll like the other songs or whatever I may download the soundtrack so
as to not lose money if I don't like it.
I download most of my anime music, mainly because I don't have the money to
import OSTs. However, there are quite a few I plan on getting once I start
getting paid from my new job. ^_^ I've also been getting into a few artist
lately, like Angela Aki (Final Fantasy XII theme) and Suga Shikao (Honey &
Clover, xxxHolic) and I'd like to get their CDs too, since I can't download
their music that's not from an anime or game.
I end up downloading more often than I'd like, simple becuase I have no idea on
how to actually get the CDs as I've never imported before. I'd like to do it one
day, but ususally the only OSTs I get are ones at the local anime import store,
and their range isn't too great, plus they don't stock singles which is mainly
what I'd want to buy anyway.
I buy a lot of my music, but I have to download some just to get a feel for an
artist. I can't just turn on the radio and discover someone new, I have to
download. I am defintely ready to kill for a Yuna Ito and Sachi Tainaka album,
two people I would have never heard without downloading.
Both. I download singles I like, since a lot of released CD's seem only to have
a one or two actual good songs while the rest are only so-so. But if I like a
lot of an artists songs, I always buy the CD.
That depends on things like the widespread availability of the music, how good
it actually is, and whether I just like one track a whole CD. Basically I
download music for free first and then I try support the artist if their work
has impressed me.
do the both for me.. first download from internet, then if it released here,
then i just buy it... but i hardly found original Anime OST in my country, they
were only imported...
I usually dl it because Japantown doesn't always have all the new releases, and
sometimes they're expensive. And i can't order stuff online either. But
sometimes i buy some cds(only singles though).
i buy the CD if i thought the whole albums would have a lot of nice songs. and
depends on the artists too, i buy for my fave artists. i rarely download a song,
unless i really like the song and it's quite hard to get in store.

finish my final year at school.

something similar, I end up downloading <<< downloading is not too
common to me.
I prefer to buy them, be cause that give the artist the chance to get up like
the other ho had take that chance.....So I prefer to buy it to support.....but
of cource the one i like it not all,just like Krisari said.........

if you really support one's favourite artist, i would recommend buying. so far
i've only bought a few Imported ones, cost me every yet worthy penny on it.
I buy them and download them.
So far no imports though. I need my mom for that and she not willing to help me
everytime.
Besides, I need to save up money. [I pay her back.]
I download them. Why? Because in my country(the Philippines) it is really hard
to find such albums and too expensive to buy them in case you see one
anyway.

If I can't find it on iTunes, I'll get it on Limewire. I don't trust all the little dime-a-song websites.

and itunes is a dollar a song and they dont carry the music i listen to *cough* Yutaka Ozaki *cough*
Well if i can find a song for free i'll download it. think about this do you think these rich singers really need more money.

I download free music...Can't be as bad as downloading manga...Heard it's usually illegal to downlaod manga....-_@
