this riddle doesnt make any sense, but its basically a metaphor. its actually really easy to get. its from an ancient tale. this is really a trick question. ull probably get it. here it is:
In the morning, I walk on four legs.
In the afternoon, I walk on two legs.
In the evening, I walk on three legs.
What am I?
a human.that's quite a common riddle -.-
A drunk human.
In the morning, hess hung over, in the afternoon he's right and in the night he's drinking again and cant stand up, hence 3 legs...
That is not a good riddle....
it been used too much and it is so easy right now....
its a human....duh....
it's human >___>
The morning represents a baby crawling, the afternoon represents an adult standing, and the evening represents an old person using a stick as a third leg. Is that right?
wtf... it's HUMAN...Crawling as a baby (morning four legs) Walking on two legs middle of life (afternoon) and elder using a cane (night three legs)..duh..this riddle is very common...
a human...
its kinda obv...
its a human
its a human... ive heard this one before
A HUMAN! YAY ^_^ but its stupid and doesnt make sense at all? hows a baby grow that fast?
morning is the beginning of life, afternoon is the middle of life, and night is nearing darkness or death. at "daybreak" the baby would be born, and at the end of the day the person would die. it is metaphorical, just as the concept of "winter" of one's life refers to old age, the end of the cyle of seasons representing the end of life. cold and darkness often refer to death or nearing death, as when one dies their sight may go dark, their body becomes cold, etc.
i kno its really easy. but wat sumtimes confuses pp about it is the morning, afternoon, and evening part. i asked this riddle to other pp and wen i told them the answr, thy sed it didnt kmake sense cause a person doesnt grow that fast. ezzy-m is rght. and i did say it was rlly easy to get. i wanted to see if it was confusing for sum pp, like w/ Aimee1991.
Well i have a better one for you...

u hav to read the question out loud to urself.. otherwise its not hard... and its not fun...
What is black and white and read all over?
thats wat i was thnking, life, but if its sumthng u hav throughout ur life, then its not life. and as for the riddle, is it a newspaper? its black and white and its read all over...yeah, ur rght wen u say it outloud, it confuses u.
i agree with life.
And abt your riddle, kodocha-san, it's a very old riddle, sometimes known as the Riddle of the Sphinx. According to Greek Mythology, the Sphinx (the Greek one, not the Egyptian) sat outside the gates of the city Thebes, and would ask anybody the riddle in the first post. Anybody who couldn't answer would be strangled to death. Oedipus solved the riddle, and, finally defeated, the Sphinx died by jumping off the high rock it was perched on. (some versions say it devoured itself)
Just thought i might share.. lol
yeah i knew it had sumthng to do w/ that, but i kinda forgot the stry.
