possibly. sony is not sure where to set the pricing but I'm for certain sure
that the games will most likely cost you more then an X-box 360 game.
You have to ask yourself is this thing really worth 600 dollars with it's 70 or more dollar games and a huge Headache?
i'm not going to burn off $600 dollars that easily. i would rather use that

price is skyhigh, to think that sony has gone berserk, ur wrong. more of their
stock is slowly rising as they reveal the ps3 for debut.
there are those that are willing to pay, for example like the xbox 360, people
considered it to be expensive and in the end the gained more profit than
expected.
don't forget to trade a kingdom hearts 2 to gamestop for 35 instead of the norm.

I'm not messing with Sony never did and the way its looking now never will. I'm
saveing up for my own 360 and Wii. Oh and the PS3 will start at around 500 but
if you ad the extra odds and ends then it will cost you 600. Still 100 bucks too
much.

$100. In marketing terms "less than 100 US dollars" means US$99.99 so
that isn't good news. Either way most games will cost the same as or more than
their 360 counterparts.

I am in Australia, and 360 games for example range from $100 to $140, and PS3
games are predicted to cost as much as $160. We pay way more than most countries
and about the same as the English, who also get screwed on price.
FYI $1000 Australian is about $750 US. So we are paying an extra $150 US dollars
more than the Americans for PS3.
Lots of us aussies have all said "let's wait for the PS3", but the

Depends really. The $600 can be used for better use espically for other systems
too. The thing is that, usually Sony has a large library of games so it
"might" be worth it. I wouldn't really say that it is worth my $600, i
would have something better to do with it.

That's what happen when a company just want to create a multi-purpose machine,
if I rememb the PS systems you can use them to read CDs and play movies. But
back to games, Sony wanted to create incredible effects, of course the
technology to do it is expensive, so to launch a machine so powerful in 3D
effects the cost of this should be expensive, but Sony never thinks in the
players, the only thing they want is to sell, and think video players are so
stupid that will to buy a machine, not matter how expensive this be.
It all depends on each gamer's style. Buy it first, buy it later or ..(i like
this notion) Borrow your best friend's PS3 for the nite the day he/she got
