Well I've noticed her a lot and thanks to a more viewable pic of her, I must say
she has quite a pretty face and is cute in the smile ^^.
Even if Yzak isn't that interested, I reckon he has (just an opinion/assumption)
a lil bit of feelings for her ^^ seeing as how she appears on his side many
times (okay a few times) and he'd notice ^_~
I remember seeing her saluting Yzak before the Jule team went to battle near end
of SEED, but it was very brief. She appears again in Destiny, with Yzak, but has
no lines, and nobody even mentions her name (guess her story's all in the Astray
mangas). She looks a lot like Sango from Inuyasha (the hairstyle). Supposedly
she's engaged to Yzak, more like arranged marriage because their genes match
(like how Athrun and Lacus matched) than having feelings for each other. but I'm
not sure whether this is canon or fan speculation.

Shiho? I just know that she is Yzak's girl, hates skirts, and is part of the
Jule team. *shrugs* anyway, I dunt see how this girl can cope up with the hot
tempered commander. *shudders*

saying she's yzak's love interest, they're wrong! if you've watched seed and
destiny carefully, there's something more going between yzak and dearka! haha,
believe it! they're gay!
I would recomend that you all play Gundam seed Never ending tomorrow. there is a
gs mission for her. If anything, I would say she is very devoted to yzak, but
from a subordinate looking to follow a great leader type of attitude.
From what I recalled the directors offered her to be the voice actress for Shiho
like TM Revolution to Heine Westenfluss and Miguel Aiman but then she turned
down. That's why we get to see Shiho without dialogues and shows as an extra...

and with help from Yzak she is able to complete the mobile suit; nicknamed the
"Housenka" (Balsam) by Yzak Joule because of her combat skills (since
beams are shooting out in all directions like a blossoming flower), and she
wears the balsam as her personal mark; pilots the ZGMF-515 CGUE and YFX-200 CGUE
DEEP Arms. Assigned to the Joule Squadron before the end of the Bloody Valentine
War, she participates in the Second Battle of Jachin Due and has fought against
Earth Alliance force's female ace pilot "Sakura Burst" Rena Imelia.
After the war when Yzak became the youngest member of the Supreme Council, Shiho
leaves the Joule squad briefly to fight in the independence war of the U.S.S.A.;
after Yzak returns to the frontline Shiho rejoins the Joule squad and pilots a
custom ZGMF-1000/M Blaze ZAKU Warrior. She seems to have romantic feelings
towards Yzak, but he does not notice them. Shiho wears the male version of the
ZAFT uniform, rather than the optional female version.
It has been remarked that Shiho was intended to be a tribute to Nami Tamaki,
much like how Miguel Aiman and Heine Westenfluss are tributes to TM Revolution.
However, Tamaki turned down the role. As a result, though Shiho appears in crowd
or background shots in SEED and SEED Destiny, she has no dialogue (she does
speak in related video games, however; there, she's voiced by Makiko ?moto). On
another note, Tamaki's rejection may have been a blessing in disguise for Shiho,
as celebrity voiced characters such as the aforementioned Heine and Miguel,
along with Andrew Waltfeld's lover, Aisha (voiced by Vivian Hsu), were quickly
killed off, leaving no more room for future development of the characters.
