So... What's your opinion on putting a photo of yourself on the web for sites like this, or MySpace, etc.? Would it be better to just leave it up to the other people who you communicate with to imagine what you look like, or to just let it all out, so to speak?
Personally, I like my privacy.
I do not like posting personal info, including a picture on public pages on the internet, to protect my privacy. Even on sites where I have a profile, I do not give much info.
I wouldn't recklessly put photos of myself online, mainly because all someone needs to find you is your name and face. Things like myspace etc are really bad places for you to put your photo up because there is no privacy. =\
it's all right i guess... i mean... if people ridicule it... it's just childish... so as i voted... doesn't really matter to me... and if someone wants to track me down and kill me... then so be it... but i guess... it's nothing really to fear... for me... but that's me
I don't see how it really matters, since so far as I know there's no website, Myspace or whatever, that says you -have- to put a photo up of yourself. So people who want to can, and people who like their privacy don't have to.
Who cares? Just don't tell them your address.
You never know, someone in the internet mind find you real hot and stuff
I would send my photo to people who wants to see me. Unless they are like, you know, those people who only wants to talk to you if you ARE hot. And the best way to find that out is if they ask you for a photo first.
i doesnt matter 2 me, ill put up a photo but thats as far as i go unless i kno the person im talkin 2
Internet's for sharing. Heh, also for fantasizing... It's almost like a city where you can find everything, from churches to red districts, haha-- but it's no laughing matter. You gotta be careful with your photos, maybe some perv will photoshop them or something... and if youre good looking, the risks are bigger... Share your photos, but know with who you share them.
P.S.: did you see i already uploaded a minitokyo photo of mine? haha!
I don't have a problem flashing my mug all over the internet, it's my face and I can put it where I want. I don't post many pictures at all on public sites however, so I don't really have a lot to worry about in the way of people recognising me because most of the people on these sites likely already know me.
i have a myspace and i put my photo up there and here. it doesnt really matter to me because that is what i look like. yes i do get really point-blank messages from weirdo people looking for a little something, but i choose not to answer them. i mean i dont give out my information or any of that such nature. the worst that they could every do is mentally undress people.
well, there has been some stalking going on in the net world these days. However, it is not a bad thing to let people around the world know what you look like... You never know, you might meet someone of your calibur or someone interested in the same things that you do ^_^...
i don't think its a bad idea myself

I hate the thought about putting my own photo on the internet. Since, you have to be very careful. There are alot of weridos out there >.>

well for me... I would never put my photo on the net,
but I could careless about other people(unless its my friends, of course) *cough* Im not that mean.
Just remember, that there is a risk for being stalked, especially in myspace, where kids go, put photos of themsheves and EVEN say what school they go to, city and where they live! O.o they are who I call IDIOTS! stupid kid...
ill just say that its alright to put your photos on the internet, BUT just don't give out any other info about yourself.
its prolly some porn star posing herself for some dude's pic
I avoid it if I can, and I usually can. The only online pics of me that I know of are on the website of my old school.
What I'm pissed about is when real ugly people post some fake real hot photo so people would think that they are hot. I've seen people post their hot friends in replacement of themselves, and I find that very frustrating.
ROFLMAO! Yup.......there are a lot who does that! Some people don't post their pics due to the fact that they are liable to cause trouble and promote ignorance throughout the internet. If the post their picture, then people can ascertain who they are and what they represent. Sometimes a consensus of people can acurately tell what type of person you are through photographs alone.
Last time I posted a pic on a message board I managed to get myself a paedophile...
No joke.
Serves me right anyway, but the thing is, if they don't know where you live or know a lot about you then you shouldn't be in much danger. Just block them out by blocking emails, blocking their instant messaging account, etc.
O_o Woah, that's some gnarly words you're pulling out.
Hopefully when I put my photo up in MT (If I am bothered), there would be no pedophiles to see them.....
Photo-whoring is wrong. Can't tell who will see you and decide that you are there new stalking-project
Oops....I forgot about those demented idiots.........

Sorry I had to look....
You are, um......attractive. (give you too much credit, then the pedifiles may be back.) I guess its rough to converse agmonst the world when you have nutbars about like that. I hope you don't have that problem here.
Lol. THat leaves me out totally. I am fine with it cause normally, when upload my photos, it will be too blurry or too small. I am photo-shy anyway but ironically, i take photography..! lol
I get what you mean; I'm really introverted, but I'm taking Theatre this year... to deal with that part of myself (looking forward to next year because of it, though
!).
I'm not demented.....
I don't think that LigerZSchinder was referring to you as "demented", but talking about the pedophilies you mentioned in the post he quoted.
