well for the first anime i ever bout was a poke'mon video i bought at a video store and as for downloaded it would have to be tenjou tenge or midori no hibi for me....

My first was either of these two It was back in 96 so it's hard to remember: Legend of crystania the motion picture; Serial Experiments Lain.

The very first anime I bought was, Chobits! And I must say, I realy love that anime. Once I watched it, I just had to buy more of the dvds.
