I think I can see this as most obvious, but why not see what others think. Mine are Shinn and Kira. They both seem to have the most in-deph stories described between the two time-lines of GS and GSD. Athrun--? Don't like him. Unfortunately, his general angst on what he needs to do really annoyed me.
Sure he's a
gentle-man, but he should have made the right decision.
To join ZAFT and leave ORB or stay with ORB. His escape was a waste of time, more over.
Anyways, vote away~. It'd be nice if we had a reason, too. :3!

i dont really like shinn and athrun is ok but i like kira the best
if i were to choose only one, it would be athrun. he's the most mature of the three, considering he doesn't cry that much. on the other hand if i'm allowed to pick two, it's kira and shinn; it's cool when these two fight; it's much better if they're friends. =)
I don't see him as mature, actually. I see him just as childish as Kira and Shinn. xD

kira's "perfection" kinda annoys me... you now the supreme-agnsty-and-is-always-right guy... he's way too perfect that it's hard to see him as normal lol... well athrun's character is much more human and credible I think.... and well... Kira has everything, pilot skills, lacus (perfect too), inteligence, etc... he's like a god... in fact being the SUPREME COORDINATOR makes him like a god....
as for shinn, he's too childish and well i just don't like him and that since the beginning... the way he'd destroyed cold-heartedly ORB's fleet (including the man who was kind to him and helped him), or the way he had treated cagalli, etc..etc...
well in short Athrun is the best ... a pity he's always second geez...
I voted for Kira. I love his looks, intelligence, piloting abilities and of course his personality.
Ultimate coordinator Kira Yamato gets my vote haha!
this is a duh! haha i would choose Athrun, he's strong, courageous, and i kno that his mind just seems confused a lot but his story is great.

I voted Athrun since I think he's more... human. I mean, if you're torn between your friends' decisions and your country/homeland's decisions, it is more likely for you to be confused and probably end up making the mistakes Athrun did..
Shinn... I don't hate him or anything, but I think he's okay.

Kira all the day....he's the only character that ACTUALLY DEVELOPED physically and mentally throughout SEED n Destiny......Kira is NOT as perfect as u guys see him...if he was..he wouldnt of gotten beaten by Shin and his freedom destroyed..its just dat from all da stuff dat he've been thru..it taught him alot of the value of living.....Kira always has a sad expression on his face if u guys havent notice..it's this point that proves he's NOT perfect....and besides i question Athrun's believes..thru out the serie...it doesnt seem like he's very confident with what he believes in..dis can be seen when he goes back and forth between ZAFT and the archangels.....and his love life........argg i dunt even know who he loves anymore! KIRA FOREVER!
Shinn just plane annoys me...dat guy seriously has some kind of anger problem..it seems like everything makes him mad!

I'd say Shinn. He was one of the most interesting characters to me. And I grew to absolutely love his character. So, Shinn. :3

prefered him in Seed, in Destiny he's a little...emotionless...lol
I hesistated between him and Athrun, as Athrun is also great in Seed, but in Destiny he annoyed me with his indecision. Sure it is human, but he has the same questions as in Seed and at the end of Seed I thought he knew his answer, and then in Destiny he doesn't know anymore...moreover in the end, his answer is approximately the same as before....
I didn't like Shinn at first, too insolent...but I begin to like him more now....
Oh well in the end, it's still Kira^^
