-Hayao Miyazaki (GHIBLI, maybe it's not connected with the title of this threads, but still he is a great anime creator)
-CLAMP
-Nobuyuki Anzai (from MAR Heaven and FOR series)

I’ve been glad to see a few people mentioning that CLAMP wasn’t their favorite. I’ve never found a CLAMP manga I like.

What I like best tends to be from Korean artists, and happily, Tokyopop carries those. I’m just disappointed that a few of the mangas I like were dropped, or the sequels not picked up.

Natsuki Takaya, Hatori Bisco, and Hiromu Arakawa. At the moment, anyway.

I love the character style of Oh! Great. Granted he could lay off the whole sex thing a bit but still, he has one of the best styles ive seen. or maybe it is caus of the sex thing... I dunno. His characters are HOT, and his stories arent bad either. Oh! Great all the way yo.

Another CLAMP fan here, and going by number of volumes owned, they'd be my favorite. I also love Ai Yazawa, Kei Toume, Yun Kouga, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Yumi Tamura and many others.

OH GREAT! the man is on a level. he has a unique perception of angles, and his environments look so realistic. the fight scenes are incredible. The characters all have great style and are very individualistic in terms of facial expressions. The stories and concepts are very original especially air gear , although tenjou tenge is my favorite, im addicted to both mangas
