will it cost you?"
Always remember, you'll need a fast and reliably host, a domainname, and at a
high level you'll have to pay for site-traffic.
For me: since I don't want to make money with my sites, I don't really want them
to be "popular"... being kown for what I do is more important than a
wellknown website
Not really, I gave the URL only to family and friends. It is site I mainly use
to put photos and art on.
For some reason I like to be part of a community on the web than making a
site.
My site is hosted on the server of a friend, so I dont have to worry about
payments, bandwith or storage space, which wont force me to place ads.
I have a site with about 2100 visits per day, which is about 80000 hits (page
views, i think) per day. The site can't really be internationally well known,
since it's completely in finnish. With this kind of traffic bandwith really
becomes a problem and I've been forced to select a host that offers unlimited
bandwith. Unfortunately the other qualities of the host aren't that good...
Do you guys count the fact that you are visiting your own websites...?
I get about 2,500 hits a month I'd say. 1829 hits so far (15th). I don't really
care how many hits I get, I'm worrying about content once I have a chance.
So far, I've gotten 5177 unique hits this month (excluding my own, I have those
filtered out) on pages with content, not wallpaper/images/downloads, I haven't
checked that in a loooong time. It's international, kind of. I get a lot of
incoming links from multiple foreign message boards. Maybe also because I
contribute to the open source community with simple things, and that got some
pages from my site out to multiple countries (mostly european). But it isn't
internationally known and is safe to say never will be!
That's also excluding the leeching hits btw, because some people love using my
wallpapers as backgrounds for their websites. Need to fix that, ugh. Those hits
don't count.
My site isn't very popular, I get around 70 individual hits daily. As long as I
keep the updating up regularly, I earn back the visitors. ^__^
Hits are no big matter to me, as long as I know there are some people out there
that come and visit every so often.
Um... I've worked on sites that get over 3 million hits a month... And thats
only on the ones I've seen the stats for. I'm sure others I've worked on get
more than that...
But its not my content... Guess that doesnt count.
I used to run an anime site tenkai.net which got around 800 uniques/day I think
before I shut it down. Now, it just redirects to a newer site of mine ganked.us,
giving me around 200 uniques/day still from redirection, though my anime site's
been gone for a while now.
mine's not popular at all. it's just a mini mp3 rotation site. and we know that
mp3 rotation sites have been popping like crazy over the internet. so mine's
just a small dot in that area. T~T

Photo Album seems to be very popular. This month I've > 57,000 hits and
generated 3.2Gbytes traffic.
My site is basically dead at the moment, thats because i need to complete a few
pages still, and currently, my schedule isnt permitting it. My site address is
in my Signature<--Loveless Rhapsody is the name^.^
Well, yes, i agree, not a lot of sites make it internationally.Some people think
that having a lot of affiliates means more hits, its pathetic when you see more
then 10 of them on a website ~.~
I get around 10 hit in a week and on weekends 20 hits per day. That's enough for
me. the only thing that me sad is that i do not get any feed back. I get 1
guestbook entry per month. I like to make websites but I need people that tell
whats bad and whats good.

i dont have a real good one but i only get like.... 40 page views a day... lol my site isnt very well known.
I'd rather have a well-made site than a well-known site.
