I understand why most of us likes FFVII so much. I would agree that, overall, it
is the best because of such high standards that it sets (especially due to the
excel in graphic during its time... because back then, there was nothing that
can compare to its brilliance). However let's not forget about FFVIII shall we?
Technically speaking, it is the first of the Final Fantasy series which contains
such magnificent computer graphic. It was really pushing the power of the PSOne
to its limit. Therefore, I totally sympathise with TessaLover12, Tenj0, sophity
& Sorceres00 as they declare FFVIII to be the best of all time. Given its
potential, FFVIII may beat FFVII if Square Enix decide to remake it for the PS3.
Final Fantasy 7! The environment, the
character developments, the music, the ever so brilliant gameplay and plot. It
will still remain the best for years to come for many.

it. great story, great characters, great music, even the actual game time was
great. 2nd best was FFX, the game itself is simple, but the sidequests you can
do rack up your gametime, plus it has amazing graphics. 3rd best was, (i dunno
if this counts) but chrono trigger! nottin beats that game! best game EVER made!
Well I've only played FFX and I really like that. I tried playiing VII, but it
was too ugly (I know, I'm shallow). I just hope they remake that for the PS3 so
that it'll b prettier and they'll get so many more people playing it.
Anyway, in X, I LOVE Lulu. She's so much cooler than anyone else. I wish Tidus
could fall in love with her...
Ive only played FF VIII, FF X and FF X-2, and seen the Advent Children movie.
And so far my favorite is FF VIII I just love it the charatcers the style the
plot and the music ahh its SO good
My favorite is FF7, maybe the graphic is not the best but the gam is truly
awesome. The climate, music, story everything.

I'm a little surprised to see FFIX got so many good ratings from everyone. I
think it was also my favorite Final Fantasy game played. FFX would be second,
the gameplay was great and the graphics were awesome
Dude you kno Final Fantasy VII is the top choice on like everyone's list. I mean
what other RPG had such a huge impact on the gaming industry in the US. Also I
really liked FFX, dubbing sucked but i liked the story. the battle system of x-2
was tite too. well there u have it
FF7 ! The best story I ever play in PS duh... Well I want play FF 1 to VI

This one's a toughie. Like many people, I'm putting a vote in for FF VII.
However, FF Tactics was, by far, one of the most challenging and fun games I've
ever played. FF 10 was great too. I don't dislike any FF games out
there...except for VIII. I cheered IRL when Squall died.
Final Fantasy VII is definitely the best. The movie and upcoming spin-offs are
proof of its greatness. But each of the FF games are great in their own right
and are truly memorable.
Final Fantasy X, because I like tha story, the characters, the level up system,
the battle system(the gameplay in general), and the summons are nice too...
on the second place is Final Fantasy VII...
FF 7 had the best battle system, but I think FF 8 had a better story. For the
most part its a toss up for wihch one of the two was the better game as a whole.
The difference in graphics also makes i kind of hard to judge.

to me, All Final Fantasy are the best but the these 3 are on top of my list.

Impossible to say. I rather prefer to think that there are some things that are better in some FF games that in others.
So far I have play FF VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2.
I'm still trying to have some time to play the rest of titles, and of course I will get myself a copy of the next FF games for DS, PSP, PS2 and PS3.

Final fantasy 7 - advent children , now that rocked! mostly evrybody above me likes it ....THE MOVIE WAS SOOO ASWOME!
FF VII one of the best games I've evered played, but haven't beaten it yet. Looking forward to FF XIII and the remake of FF VII.

Definitely FF7.
But I think FF6 and FF8 are very good, too.
Of course FF VII in Costa Rica is also the best one!
