do you fear DEATH?

Love, Friends & Family

Minitokyo » Forum » Life & Lifestyle Fora » Love, Friends & Family  do you fear DEATH?

I dont think i do fear "DEATH" itself...
I think the most feared thing is "PAIN", physical, psycological, to your friends, family or whatever...that´s something we dont like to see at all...but not death itself...

Quote by EldaLacus92No I don't fear death... Sometimes I wish it would just come early for me :\

Quote by Asta-sanI've tried to kill myself 10 times. I don't really care if I die or not. o.O

Okay emo kids. You need to stop craving so much attention and stop running away from your problems. None of this "blaming-the-world" excuses either or how nobody loves you and you're not needed. You all fear death. If I put a gun to your head at any moment, tell me you wouldn't be trying to talk your way out of it.

By the way, Asta-san, you're either lying or very stupid. I don't know how you can attempt suicide 10 times and not succeed by the 2nd or 3rd. If you really wanted to die that badly, you wouldn't screw it up this badly. And either way you look at it, that's rather pitiful and pathetic.

How degrading. Calling someone emo. Everyones 'emo' just to a certain extent. ^.^
Yea, I've tried 10 times, stopped every single time, before real damage could be done. You might say that now. I know I've said it when reading stories about people hurting themselves. Then I ended up doin' it a year later. =/ Why be afraid of the inevitable? I'd want to know why you would hold a gun to my head, not try and get out of it. Yes, my life would flash before my very eyes. But, I would think that I've had a good run. I've done all I could to make my life worth while. So what if I'm not afraid? You have no right to say I'm lying, since you have no clue about who I am and how I deal with things. People deal with things differently. They have different perspectives on things. This is just mine.

Death itself, not so much..
But the pain and suffering before death... that worries me.

Sometimes I fear death but, I hope for life in a paradise earth with my loveones... :D

Victory Over Death!

Paul triumphantly declared that death would be swallowed up forever. (1 Corinthians 15:54-57) When the corruptible and mortal put on incorruption and immortality, these words will be fulfilled: "Death is swallowed up forever." "Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?" (Isaiah 25:8; Hosea 13:14) The sting producing death is sin, and sin's strength was the Law, which condemned sinners to death. But because of Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection, death inherited from sinful Adam will no longer be victorious. (Romans 5:12; 6:23)

"Consequently, my beloved brothers," said Paul, "become steadfast, unmovable, always having plenty to do in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in connection with the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:58) Those words apply to today's anointed remnant and to Jesus' "other sheep" even if they die in these last days. (John 10:16) Their labors as Kingdom proclaimers are not in vain, for a resurrection awaits them. As Jehovah's servants, then, let us keep busy in the Lord's work while awaiting the day when we can joyously cry out: "Death, where is your victory?"

The Resurrection Hope Fulfilled! :nya:

Paul's words recorded in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 make it evident that the resurrection hope had power in his life. He was absolutely certain that Jesus was raised from the dead and that others would also be released from mankinds common grave. Do you have such strong conviction? Paul considered selfish advantages "a lot of refuse" and 'took the loss of all things' so that he might 'know Christ and the power of his resurrection.' The apostle was willing to submit to a death like that of Christ in the hope of receiving "the earlier resurrection." Also called "the first resurrection," it is experienced by Jesus' 144,000 anointed followers. Yes, they are raised to spirit life in heaven, whereas "the rest of the dead" will be resurrected on the earth. (Philippians 3:8-11; Revelation 7:4; 20:5, 6)

The resurrection hope has become a glorious reality for anointed ones who have been faithful unto death. (Romans 8:18; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; Revelation 2:10) Survivors of "the great tribulation" will see the resurrection hope realized on earth as 'the sea gives up those dead in it, and death and Hades give up those dead in them.' (Revelation 7:9, 13, 14; 20:13) Among those raised to life on earth will be Job, who suffered the loss of seven sons and three daughters. Imagine his joy in welcoming them back--and how delighted they will be that they have seven more brothers and three other beautiful sisters! (Job 1:1, 2, 18, 19; 42:12-15)

What a blessing it will be when Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebekah--yes and so many others, including "all the prophets"--are raised to life on earth! (Luke 13:28) One of those prophets was Daniel, who was promised a resurrection under Messianic rule. For some 2,500 years, Daniel has rested in the grave, but by the power of the resurrection, he will soon 'stand up for his lot' as one of the "princes in all the earth." (Daniel 12:13; Psalm 45:16) What a thrill it will be to welcome back not only faithful ones of old but also your own father, mother, son, daughter, or other dear ones taken from you by the enemy death!

Some of our friends and loved ones may have served God for decades and are well along in years. Advanced age may make it difficult for them to meet the challenges of life. How loving it is to give them whatever help we can right now! Then we will have no regrets about having failed them in some way if death should claim them as its victims. (Ecclesiastes 9:11; 12:1-7; 1 Timothy 5:3, 8) We can be certain that Jehovah will not forget the good things we do for others, regardless of their age or circumstances. :D "As long as we have time favorable for it," wrote Paul, "let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those related to us in the faith." (Galatians 6:10; Hebrews 6:10)

Jehovah is "the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort." (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4) His Word comforts us and helps us to comfort others with the powerful resurrection hope. Until we witness the fulfillment of that hope by the raising of the dead to life on earth, let us be like Paul, who had faith in the resurrection. May we especially imitate Jesus, whose hope in God's power to resurrect him was realized. Those in the memorial tombs will soon hear Christ's voice and come out. May this bring us comfort and joy. But above all, may we be thankful to Jehovah, who has made victory over death possible through our Lord Jesus Christ! :nya:

Im not a believer and still i dont have any extra ordinary fear of death as long as it is no painful or extremely regretful death. Of course i have the will to live, but i do not think i fear death as much as some other might do.
Maybe you have to be put into a dangerous situation where your life is put on the line in order to really appreciate life and fear death.

Wow well death is a senstive subject. remember that death is not the oppistie of life, it is when you run ouit of choices to make and end up when nothing. that is what death means. Death well as everyone might tell you, soul leaves the body lalalalalla. yeah its ribght but yeah should really think about the afterlife. i mean you will only see darkness after death?

I don't actually FEAR death, I just don't want it to happen. (If that makes any sense.)

But I've heard of a saying that goes something like, "If you fear death, you have not lived life to the full." That's definitely not how it goes, but you get the gist.

Not really, I died once...wasnt scary at all. HAHA

PS: just kidding but my answer remains the same

i'm not afraid of death, nobody should really...they should embrace it and treat it as a sweet kiss or new breath of cool, clean air ^.^ what people should be really scared of is how they die! anyways...i'm more scared of living than dyin'...fightin' and strugglin' each and every day...it's much more harder an' scarier than to just let urself go into internal sleep...

death is my fear no doubt about it... sometimes i sit der thinking abt it andi get so scared... wher do u go wen u die? does ur soul live on or does it jus disappear? >< i dont wanna not exist anymore... some people talk abt reicarnation... but im not sure if i believe in that

Ummm yeah, of course.

Okay, simply put, if someone put a gun to your head and you have any fear or would rather they not point it at you, then you fear death. Simple as that. Because if you honesetly didn't fear death, you'd let them pull the damn trigger.

Who isn't? But I'd probably die for her...

Though I am instinctively afraid of death, intellectually I just don't fancy the pain that tends to come with most forms of death (like a heart attack). Dying in my sleep would be nice.

I think alot of people fear death...I mean death is the unexpected. It's when you truly find out what it's like. Do you really go to heaven?....Do you die and don't even realize it? Would it be like your slepping forever and never going to awake? I get goosebumps thinking what if you die....imagine your just gone, it would be like you were never born..it's just freaky. ^_^' I think I fear death quite a bit, but it's a normal part of life. I just try not to keep thinking about it. I want to worry about what I can do and enjoy life to the fullest. :) We'll all part with death one day, but we can't let it ruin your lives just wanting to know what happens.

no, coz it will come as soon as possible by it self

I FEAR NOTHING! thats all i have to say

I don't fear death but (if this makes sense) it's the way I die. like I'm not afraid of natural death but I AM afraid of being murdered or in a bloody sort of way.

You all will think I'm saying this to seem as an emo or a poser (what's not a lie, if we stop to think), but, right now, I don't fear death. There's still no one in the world who depends on me, so I don't have any reason yet to be alive.
And I'm very curious to know wath happens after we die... xDD
But I'm not an emo kid who thinks that it would be better if I haven't was born. I want to enjoy my life, to really fear death. Because when I fear it, I'll know that I have someone important to me, a reason to live.

To resume: Neither I fear death (yet), nor I want to die (yet again).

No.

death is not something to fear, its just something you have to accept

fate
controls
everything

even if it seems like you have a choice, that choice to go against your original choice was fated to happen too
so basically, if you avoided death by making another choice, you were not fated to die.
conclusively, dying is just another thing that happens, what most of us fear about death, is the process or should i say the pain that comes along with death

I myself do not fear death. It will happen to all of us one day. I know that sounds bad but its the truth. The one thing I fear more than death is being forgotten that I exist

yes. But NOT too much. THat's what i tink tho. Everyone has their own reasons to fear it, even tho some do non

yes...Death is just a part of life, something we're all destined to do.
