I made a Sakura wallpaper. Please have a look. It kept getting deleted here so I
have to post it here. This was an all night work.
The poem is by me. The text reads from left to right (side to side) and it's a
from Sakura to Sasuke kinda thing. The last part of the poem are lyrics from the
song "Just to be with you" by Third day.
Please comment! This was soooo hard to make and I'm just a begginer!
Hmm... your poem is nice, but I suggest you don't put so many sentences your
wallpaper. How about just picking your most favorite two sentences and place
them nicely on the wallpaper. And the rest of the poem you can add in the
description of the wallpaper! ^^
Anyways I think your wallpaper got deleted because the extraction is rather bad.
That means... look closely at it... there are too many white spots outside of
the outlines of the scan. So you could either vector it or work some more on the
extraction. How did you extract the scan? I suggest using the pentool it allows
you to make it a lot more cleaner. When I was a beginner I used to erase... but
you can never get it that clean by using that technique. So use the pentool and
zoom in. If you need anymore help on this, please feel free to ask me... I just
don't know how much you already know about it!
Also some parts of your wallpaper and especially on the character look a bit
blurry. I don't really know why... but this might also be why it god deleted.
I like the colors and the whole setting. It has a nice atmosphere... so you
should definitely keep on working your wallpaper. It simply takes some time to
get used to pen tool and photoshop... Good luck with it! ^^
the poem you have inserted is beautiful but yeah there's too many sentences so
maybe just keep a few of them. Not sure if this will work but maybe instead put
the entire poem on one side of sakura and change the blending modes so that the
text doesn't stand out as much
the extraction is not great looks like an eraser or magic wand but like
Regenbogen said use the pen tool. the extraction will look a lot better. are the
hearts in her hair put by you or part of the original scan? To me, i would take
them out, just use the clone stamp tool and a small brush
now your bg. your bg is also nice but some things im unsure about. first near
the left tree and all over the water, there are some blue like dots or hearts
maybe take them out? lastly, the mountains or hills you have. the trees in your
background look very real but your mountains do not. They are also very fuzzy.if
you want to keep them then first delete the original ones you have, get a pen
tool and make a "hill" shape. then make sure your foreground color is
black then right click the new hill, fill path, foreground, close path, repeat.
Hopefully you post a new updated version soon!
I'm not sure that the scan was extracted completely, it has clumps of excess at
the edges of sakura's frame.
Plus I agree that there's a bit too much text.
