I preffer long animes, then that way you can enjoy them ...but it really depends on what kind of anime. It has to have a very good story line or otherwise it becomes very boring. But I guess short ones are a good thing to.

yea i agree with crsg, it all depends on the anime. animes with in depth meaning or plot need more episods to continue the story.

It depends on genre. For example Naruto, the first Dragonball and Inuyasha, they do not create many characters for the main character to defeat in 1 episode, neither do they drag on and on with the same moves all over again.

But for drama anime such as AiR and Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, I think the length is alright. After watching AiR I am dying to go and live in Japan! For those filler style anime, I don't mind watching something that matches my taste. I do watch Cardcaptor Sakura as the show is cute, as well as Digimon and Pokemon, and outside anime I also watch Ultraman. And I love to watch Initial D, where you don't expect any story but just want to see how Takumi or Keisuke beat their opponents.

I really like to watch anime with eps around 26 to 52. It's seem perfect to me, not to short but not to long.
But I also like to wach short anime (13 or less eps), and some long anime, but i don't like long anime if it's already in it's filler eps. it's boring.

Well, so far only those anime with around 26 episodes are good. Like Gun Grave, Fate Stay Night or Samurai Champloo. Those like Bleach which is already around 94 episodes are getting boring.

I prefer around 26 episodes for good anime. For best anime, I much prefer to 51 episodes.

definitely short for me.but just make sure they have a nice plot and ending.rushing plot anime will make my head go merry-go-round.however,good long anime like kyo kara maoh is okay for me..

I prefer anime between 24-52 episodes, but sometimes... it is too short serie ^-^ It depends on the anime, sometimes 13 is all right, for exemple Full Metal The second Raid has only 13 and 3episodes at the end are so "fast" action there changed in moment, we watched how Sasuke changed, what he has done with emotions... so 13 was too short, anyway I love this serie ^-^ and I hope there will be another one soon

Lenght does not really make any difference to me as long as the anime can keep me engaged and interested. A good story has a definited beginning and end and most of the time as long as the creators do not do some weird s*&^, then the length is dictated by the story.

I like longer series. It's always somewhat depressing when it ends, so the longer that takes, the better.

26-52 depends of the serie, some need more development and 26 it's not enough, but more than 52 it's just too much for me.

I usually prefer the short series, those from 26 episodes or also less, because if the anime I don't like I have the certainty to finish seeing soon it. The series + long instead after a certain number of episodes they begin to expire as history and to annoy for the greatest part of the times. Thin to I have now appreciated only 2 series that I define long, slam dunk and ful metal alchemist.

1-16 is normal.. so i guess it is better

Quality over quantity, people. There are some shows that I'd love a second season to, like Get Backers or Fruits Basket. Others I just wished they'd get to the point, like....umm...I'll get back to you on that.

It would be nice, though to have more high quality shorter anime. You save more money buying four DVDs than seven.

I prefer the shorter, anything above 70 at most drags a bit and that has to be something I really like (Card Captors for example). FMA is the second longest series I have watched, and the shortest is Lain, and I was happy with both.

i actually think 26 episodes is too many for me. 13 is perfect! (easier to dl, i guess... gao~)

i like my anime when theres the 26 episodes because i think i have problems watching the longer ones (as in im bound to miss watching an episode here and there)

If its a realy good anime, the longer the better! When an anime that I realy love ends, I tend to get depressed. So the longer it is, the happier I am!

Short. Absolutely.
Most animes (but not every) come out to be quite annoying because there are many leftover details. Or some episodes you think, they shouldn't never ever have seen daylight.
Just a few have justified to be quite long, but I rather 13 episodes standard lenght animes.

I prefer it to be long, because most of the anime I watch are very short, like 13 to 25 episode,and I don't want to finish it there. Sometimes when it is too short there are always questions left unanswered in my head.

I love those super long ones like Naruto and ONE PIECE! but i do hate those stupid fillers. the reason i hate short animes is if its really good then i dun want it to end so soon.. for example: Fate Stay Night was so good but it was way too short man...

Myself, I don't really care about what length it is, just that it entertains me most of the time. But I do admit that some are too short for my liking.

a normal anime is about 26 epsodes so to me i would rather hv about mabe 52 ...26 is juz too short but it still depends on the quality of anime somethimes the anime is too long ppl tire from it but too short then we feel its a bit wasted 4 a good anime....^^
