Quote by BobaFett2haI can't believe
everyone learned all these relatively obscure words before they ever heard the
word "ninja" or "karate".
I always though 'Karate' was Chinese when I was a kid. (But now I know
better)
So 'Sayonara' was the first Japanese word I ever learnt, but I didn't know it
was Japanese. I thought it was Mexican or Spanish until a few months ago
(lol)
But the first Jap word I learnt that I knew was Jap was proably 'Origato',
followed closely by 'Kawaii' or 'Konichiwa'.
Hmm. I also recall a time in Primary School when I ran around saying 'chibi' ...
I'm not sure about that one though ...
<laugh> well mine was "bakayarou" ^^ I found it with my friend
in a Gundam Wing fanfick we read we still
use it to confuse one of our friends <poor
thing still doesn't know what it means and is to lazy to check it > ^^
and there's also chibi ^.^ I loved whatching SM and there's Chibi-usa
Right now my friends at school call me chibi <happy> ^^ really love them
for that :*
For me, sadly, it was in Naruto's OVA (the one that had to do with the hidden
waterfall village and like a special water that would make you 100x more
powerful so you could defeat your enemy, but then you would die after it were
off):
CASOU! NANDA UKTAI!
Sub Translation:
DAMMIT! WHAT THE HELL?!
He was cursing because he stepped in dog shit! lol
Another one (which I think is officially my first word, other than the typical
baka, konichwa, hai, iie) was:
Ursaratonkatchi
Sub Translation:
Dumbass
Sadly another Naruto, but this is funnier cause Sasuke was always calling Naruto
a "dumbass" whenever he did something wrong.
my first was ''konnichiwa'' which i forgot what it means, ummm good afternoon?
lol and also 'watachiwa' wchi i dotn kno how to spell oh and moshi moshi or w-e
lol
Sayonara! I used to sing the song in Kindergarten

I learned baka first :-p love that word
the first ones i learned were "Arigato gosaemas" (spelling?) Thank you very much.
The first word I've learn was "Arigato" means Thank you.
I learnt Sayonara.. haha.. common...
Konnichiwa, meaning 'Hello' and 'Good afternoon'. That was the only word I knew from Japanese until I started learning the language only 4 years ago.
1) Arigatou (From Ramen shop)
2) Ohaiyo (From a classmate)
3) Baka (From anime)
"kawaii" xD can't remember why
Hm.. I think my first word was Kawaii or Baka. But I think it Baka was the first word la. And of coz... I know more words now than before. =P
like everyone i suppose, i heard "sayonara" when i was still just a little girl. I didn't even know what language this word was coming from...
I was gonna say Ohio...but then I realised I knew about Sushi even earlier when I watched Ninja Turtles as a toddler.
lolx... it is arigatou gozaimasu, the more polite way is add the do(u)mo arigatou gozaimasu.
ps: u dun need to pronouce the u in doumo, just say domo
arigato if i remember right
Ikimasu! (Here it goes, if I'm right)
My japanese first word was 'Kawaii', if I can trust my memorie ^^;
moshi moshi xD konnichi wa , arigatou, hai and gomen nasai
