Hi,this is me GIMP is a linux software it have componet almost like photoshop just only have basicly little different to operate it .
May be you fell so stange with GIMP because it are uncommon software. But it is a FREE SOFTWARE. YOU HEAR FREE! :)

i've tried it before ^_^. i didn't really understand how to use it so much (since i was new then) so i gave up ~_~. i might still have it in my computer though..

I use GIMP for all my wallpapers. It's really useful after you learned how it works.

I've started to get interested in graphics software and since I'm a Linux user, that would be Gimp :p
Next to gimp, I started looking into InkScape as well... too bad don't have a tablet, cause a mouse is far from suitable for vector drawing O_o

I use GIMP for creating lineart when I vector! It's pretty easyn and efficient. ^-^

I use Gimp when I'm on a Linux box, but most of the time I use Photoshop. Both have similar capabilities, but photoshop has a better UI.

I use photoshop CS and its perfect.

Photoshop CS2 it just good enough. i was use GIMP some time but ut not good enough in UI so it hard to work it, and the preview system of GIMP not like Photoshop it make me hard to view when i work on a big image. But GIMP is FREE so if you use linux Image editor program will be GIMP. is that right?

Photoshop is a good , great software , but expensive . Gimp is good too , but it's hard to find a book guide you to use this software .
So , a software you can't use means nothing , and i choose photoshop

i still can't quite understand how to use GIMP

I'm using GIMP and its pretty hard to find resources for it like brushes XD. Kind of confusing also when trying to duplicate photoshop tutorials using GIMP. Still useful though if you dont have photoshop.

I don't use GIMP. But my friend told me that it was similar to photoshop. But I perfer using photoshop, I'm so use to the tools XD

GIMP loks similar to photoshop but I dont know how to use it, I try using various tutorials of photoshop in GIMP but the results are so diferent, I'll continue using photoshop.

I never tried GIMP and Photoshop before since I don't know where to buy Photoshop and it takes a long time for me to download GIMP (because I have dial-up connection T_T). So that means I don't know anything about walling and stuff. Poor me! >.< *cries*

I believe that GIMP is too hard to use, and I am too cheap to use photoshop off campus. I would suggest Paint.net as a free alternative. It's paint that eats like Photoshop.
