stereotypes do exist, people made them themselves. That's due to tendencies of people having a certain core set of traits that is put together to form the stereotype. Of course, no one is that one dimensional, but these core traits are obviously something to be noticed in a person. Excuse all of us for discussing certain qualities in people.

well it's just okay for me.. coz maybe they're more communicative? well.. my tomboy friends are more communicative than the common girls

I don't stereotype people. Stereotyping is stupid. To me, it's the same as racism. If I like a girl, then I like a girl. I don't care what she's like. When people say "I only date this kind of person" I just sort of laugh inside. What a way to shut yourself off from experiencing so many great and different personalities. Meh...

As a friend yeah since I treat everyone equally... well I try to anyway. But as a life partner... then maybe not. Why? Tomboys try to act like guys so the relationship from my point of view would be kinda awkward.

Well their ok to a certain extent i mean girls like misty and asuka's tommyboyish ways are alright but being beaten on alot and being insluted all the time can be tiresome. i knew alot of girls that acted that way when i was in school of course i was friends with them because i was pretty much the polar oppsite of them. and they were ok but alot of my guy friends didn't really like them. but i give them this they could fight as good as any guy.

Yeah as long as they don't look like a guy I'm down. When girls like burp, act lazy, and do guy stuff I think it's pretty cool.

I'm a girl, I'm not girly, and not a tomboy (that I know) but I do know an engaged couple where I suppose the girl could be labelled as a tomboy.

There, there are no insecurity issues over who's in charge. I mean, its a relationship, not a job. The only thing he asks of her is to dress in a way that at least he can tell she's a girl, and she's fine with that. She's very punkish and somewhat antisocial, yet she's the dominating one in bed, which don't seem to bother the guy at all. They are happy with each other for who they are. The End.

Besides, one never knows with whom he/she will fall in love with, so never discard certain ppl just b/c of labels ¬¬

Hmmm... I would say it would depend on the girl herself.
I'm sure there are tomboy's that are actually nice, but also vise-versa.
Haven't really had that much experience with tomboys, i really wouldn't know until the i meet one.

Tomboys are fun. Just as girlier guys tend to get along more easily with girls, tomboys get along with guys. They're easier for the opposite gender to understand and accept.

The converse is that taking this to extremes tends to turn off romantic interests.

Cameron Diaz is an example of a tomboy that can continue getting the guys.
