What's The Most Demented Anime You've ever seen? I ask this because there are a
plethora of anime that are considered outside of the box, off the wall, out of
this world, or just plain cat crap crazy! Like the twisted coming of age tale of
FLCL, the shamless and nonsencial martial arts parady of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, or
the outrageouly fastpaced ultraviolent spectical that is Dead Leaves. What are
you're choices? How did you discover them? And what are you opinions after
you've watched them?
Elfen Lied - I dare anyone who has seen
this show to say they didn't see it coming. Seriously, I like this show for
several reasons, but there's no denying that it's blatantly evil at
times.
Violence Jack - This one is just twisted,
period. Not to mention sexist. In it, all women (save for one) are portrayed as
gentle and righteous, while all men (save for one) are portrayed as murderous,
greedy and violent bastards, regardless of first impressions. The show is
fairly, but not oustandingly violent, but the whole thing is completely
senseless.
Fist of the North Star (the movie, at
least) - YAAAAATATATATATATATATA *head explodes*. Ok, so Fist of the North
Star is so patently ridiculous that you can almost consider it a parody. It
remains to say that 99% of the cast is men, and a lot of them gets their heads
exploded because they stand between Ken and his girlfriend. The show is so
completely off the wall, it's hard to take seriously. Not only is our main
protagonist a master of fatalities, but he's also relentless to the degree that
he will plow through skyscrapers that
have fallen on top of him just to take the shortest route to wherever he needs
to go. He doesn't even use his hands to punch his way, he just walks through.
It's not really a GOOD movie, but it IS an amusing one.
Mystery of the Necronomicon - This is a
horror series that deals with grisly murders and has no qualms to show you, if
not the acts themselves, but the horrifying aftermath of said murders. If people
are actually bitching about the sex scenes in this show, they really need to set
their priorities straight. However, despite not being for the kiddies, Mystery
of the Necronomicon is actually a very good series.
Ninja Scroll (the movie. The TV series is far
more sedate) - Another entry in the blood 'n guts department. People are
killed violently and gorily, and one of the antagonists even tears off someone's
arms and drinks the blood from them with loud gulping sounds. Mmmm mmm. That
being said, it IS a Madhouse production, so the story ain't half bad and the
fighting and action scenes are downright awesome.

nurse in every town... creepy... and officer too.. omg omg omg... im freakin

Excel Saga! I don't think there is any other anime aeries as crazy or as
off-the-wall as this is. At least that I have seen so far. Every episode is a
different genere.
Excel Saga definitely makes the top of my list. My recommendation is to get a
bottle of your favor spirits, start the series and don't stop drinking until its
over. It won't actually make any more sense out of it but you'll have a great
time and you'll laugh your rear off.

dumber than dirt as to NOT realize who the people are behind those damn
ridiculously short and skimpy costumes. Not to mention the sheer stupidity of
the enemies to *wait* for them to finish their will-finish-in-ten-more-years
transformations before attacking them. Yes, I call it dementia... the sheer
stupidity of it all. It totally undermines the human mind. -.-

Sadly, there are many series that are like Sailormoon. Like Tokyo Mew Mew But
between Sailormoon and Tokyo Mew Mew, I'd much, much, much, much rather watch
the latter, as it's funnier and cuter
I can't call any of the series I've seen until today very dementing (I haven't

It was on an Anime Expo in a theatre room.....When it started everybody was
screaming for it, aplaudinga as hard as they could like they were about to watch
their fav football team play....I thought "OWWW!this is going to be great.i
mean everybody likes it this much!"
then started the killing and stuff and I was so amased how everybody was
applauding it! '

lo-an-behold, "It's Superman!". And while I'm not big on skimpy
skirts, you gotta admit it's more practical than fighting in a full fledged
dress (Wedding Peach...............

Anyways, I'd say the most demented series I've read is Angel Sanctuary. I can't
think of anything that ISN'T wrong with that. It's got everything morally wrong
from twisted massacres to selling drugs to little kids. It covers the entire
spectrum of what not to subject your brain to
Boogiepop Phantom and Lain where ones that where really demented to me, they
were good stories even though I didn't know what was going on most of the time.
Boogiepop dealt a lot in sucide (the sucide of kids) Lain dealt with a lot of
sexual themes (and not in the good way) that where just disturbing.

just plain challenges the intellect because of the lack of logic in it. It
defies logic, and that's what makes it crazy. Let's
just say my IQ points dropped. (Nothing like how watching Monty Python and the
Holy Grail managd to totally blow my brain and logic outta my head though)
Story-wise, I mean, moon history and all, I'm okay with it. But seriously... the
fighting. THAT is what creeps me out.

consideration the fighting and costumes, otherwise, I'd just run like hell in
the opposite direction)

The super Demon of the series (the overfiend), Kills half of tokyo by extending
his HUGE Johnson all over the city and sucks everyone into it.

People were applauding the violence in Elfen Lied? Erm... why? That's missing
the point of the series rather severly, I think.
Elfen Lied was graphic, but the story was actually rpetty interesting. But the
people that are just wathching it for the viloence are pretty screwed up.

Hmm.. on one hand I am thinking Excel Saga, FLCL, and Azumanga Daioh. And on the other spectrum I am going to say Cat Soup
Dead Leaves was insane, Azumanga was random as hell and Dokuro was just crazy.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni - This show was pretty crazy, watch it and find out why :P

I would have to say Kite. The only anime I've watched so far that I've been seriously been disturbed after watching. The guns are cool though
