he's ganna kill me. i and my sister was playin DDR and well i won't b after he finds out wat i did to his ps2! man, i hate this. my dog knocked it over and the disk thing wouldn't come out. and then we fixed it and wehn we put a game in IT FRECKEN DOESN"T WORK! help! everything seems plugged in and stuff but the frecken game1! i bet my funeral is ready for me.

omg..I had the same incident happen to me although it was the other way around :P my cousin destroyed my comp by pressing the restart button over and over again till the whole thing jam and well..

Have you tried other game to see if it still works?
Try unplugging it, let it cool down for a few minutes. Then plug it back in and see if it still works.
If the PS2 is place in a vertical position, try putting it
on a horizontal position and see if that helps.

Hey, that happen to me, the only diference was I was the one who broke it, with a KICK!

From what you how you described I would guess that you broke the DVD disk drive! That would probably be easy to fix.... but I wouldn't recomend replacing that yourself. If I were you, I would take it to be examined by a professional. Such as, someone who works at a computer or electronics store. O and if you do take the ps2 to a professional make sure you stay away from the big corporate electronic stores like bestbuy, otherwise you will be charged an arm and a leg for any of the components that you need replaced. If it is the DVD drive that is broken you may also want to consider taking an old DVD drive from any old or broken computers you might have, or even an old game system such as an orignal playstation might work.

I've had my PS2 apart as well, and I'm wondering if you had to open the part that has the "Warning Laser in Use - Can cause Eye Damage" part of it? If so: make sure that everything is back in alignment and that the DVD lens (don't touch the lens - finger oils will ruin it!) is back on its track. I think that this is a common problem when things get knocked over and taken apart. Just make sure all the pieces actually did get back together correctly.
If that doesn't solve your problem...^_^' Urm...Good luck - don't die. (Tell him your sorry! And it's not like it's totally your fault (unless you weren't supposed to be playing it) the dog knocked it over.)

I would suggest you get to a pawn shop, Gamestop , or EB games as soon as possible. i saw PS2's their as cheap as 50 to 60 dollars of course their used but that's better then getting killed by your brother. and trust me i know how brothers are when something of their's get broken. Hope my advice helps you

What the hell is your problem EvoIIICE9A. Do you think that the dog intentionally tried to break the game consoles. More like the dog was probably trying to give a family member some unconditional love and knocked it off the table by mistake(tail wagging or the such). Simply unbelievable.

Fact: "Dog IS Man's best friend" He asks for nothing more than some food and a place to sleep and the occasional belly rub and pat on the head. Eee that's not good. My best friend's brother fell on his xbox and cracked it all the way from one corner to the other. Diagonally. o_O and my brother fried our first xbox attempting to mod Linux onto it. v-v I was very angry. Hope things turn out ok.
