The long as you don't let it go to your head, in my case, I make them wattch anime and tell them to shut their mouths or I'll kick the crap out of them, he he he .

my response to strangers is, and I quote "and your opinion of my likes and habits matters to me how?
to friends and family that continuously bug me about is "tough this is what I like and your stuck with be so live with it"

When people say I'm immature for watching anime I ask them, "Have you seen Bible Black? That shit is gross!" As for being famous for being an otaku, that hasn't happened to me.

In general, I ask them if they've ever actually sat down and watched more than 30 seconds of any anime (the answer is usually no). Then I tell them that they therefore have no authority on the subject and their opinions don't matter.

If it's one of those people who believe that animation in general is for kids, I start talking about shows such as Family Guy. When they join in, I laugh at them for watching an animated show. That really shuts them up for some reason.

When they say anime is not mature (like my sister used to say), I whip out the most gruesome, perverted, and/or mentally disturbing anime I have on tap and force them to watch it. (Cowboy Bebop also works well here). It also helps to tie them to a chair and duct tape their eyelids open.

Of course, you cn also beat them senseless with a blunt object for being dumb and ignorant.

they just dun understand what is so good about big eyes and anime and etc.

and plus, I do share what good anime I find with certain people so I dun ignore all the non-anime people.

I have two R rated anime movies, Akira and Cowboybebop. Like little kids can stay up to watch AS. But there is some anime like Pokimon that kids watch.

huhuh..actually,I really hate it when they say critics sumthin bout anime..coz for me,they juz dun know anything..and pretending like they know everything..and if anime is only for kids,why they produce anime like Gantz,Ghost in the shell and else..? hurm...I really wanna beat them to death! xP Sum of my frens said that they dun like anime or anything related to it..but still,they want me to make their myspace page wif anime wallie.duhh...really hate them for that..

Everyone has their own opinion but should they insult my interest i would tell them to 'shut up n go to hell' right in their face.

well in my case i just igor them...even my own family tells me that anime are only for children ,but yah i just let them speek alone,who the f**k cares what they say...i'm happy watching anime and reading manga!
