I've been wondering why the author kill of L and bought in M and N. What
purposed do you think it serve to the storyline?
My first guess is that he cannot move forward with the storyline with L and did
the easiest thing which is to do away with L and bring in two characters with
different approach to getting Raito. But I have to give the author credit for
his creativity so I cannot imagine that being the reason. I hate to say this but
L may serve only as a tool to show Light's intellectually power.
Hm... I think the author killed L to show how wrong he was in his deductions and
desicions about Kira. I mean.... *spoiler*
Spoiler:
L
already knew that Light was Kira. But for some weird reason, he could say it or
conclude it (Some say because Light was his first friend or something like
that). He paid the ultimate price to his mistake and that is death. M and N are
the ones who would then carry on with the case. As Near said about L's death as
he empties his puzzle "If you can't win at the game, you cannot solve the
puzzle, you are just a loser". This is probably pointing out that L was
hindered by his feelings and a such he lost.
Personally, I love L but I love N too! I think they are "kinda" equal.
But L is funnier hehehehe.
oh i think like yo i totally love L but i dont know near yet -.- i would have
loved if he would stay alive ( sorry for my english i'm from argentina ^^;)
I disagree with heavenANDearth ^^ the only reason he couldn't conclude about
Kira was because he had no solid proof, and I'm sure L mentioned during the
manga, that he wanted to unsolve the complete puzzle otherwise he would have
lost o.O something like that anyways, I love Near anyway so i
dont mind much
