Will you upgrade to vista ? Are you useing win2000 or winXP ? Is it enough for
you ?
And when do you plan to upgrade to vista or use other os like mac or linux ?
I won't upgrade to VISTA if my computer is enough for my work . It's too
expensive to me . My computer is old , if I upgrade to VISTA , I must upgrade my
hardware first , but it will spend a lot of money .
Vista has a huge price tag, and it separates the budget and the high end
significantly, unlike XP Pro and Home.. Well, unless there is a true reason that
there is the possibility of getting a virus is close to 0.8%, well I'll consider
upgrading. Have to wait till some genius hacks Vista... Hahahaz...
I have no intention of upgrading to Vista anytime soon. XP is more than adequate
OS for my current computer. I may be forced to upgrade to Vista down the road
when a software I want requires Vista as an OS. That's about it. I see no merit
for me at the moment.
On top of all that even though my computer is pretty fast, I'll probably need to
upgrade my hardware to run Vista. I like to get 5 years out of a computer, not
two.

Heh i had Windows Vista,i didn't like it much and i went
back to Windows Xp.
I might upgrade to Vista but I'll watch for any compatibility issues that might
crop up (Microsoft doesn't exactly have the best record for making things that
work first time around).

The safest thing to do is to wait for SP1 until you upgrade. First releases of
Microsoft OSes are usually more trouble than they are worth, I only ever used
98se, XP SP1/2, ect and I saved myself a lot of trouble. I've used first release
OSes and I even tried (and promptly uninstalled) Windows ME, nothing but
trouble.
Vista is the last monolith-type Windows. His successor, codename Singularity is
more module-based and plug-in-able. Customization of such system is a lot
easier.
The benchmarks of Singularity give us a great hope, that M$ will develop an
efficient Operating System!
But, most likely they will add a whole bunch of effects forcing the users to buy
16-core processors
For the moment i will wait. I am using Windows Xp SP2. I am waiting for Sp1 for
Vista. The first release is just -you can say i am paranoic -
not secure enough
Why?
I still prefer (almost) known security breaches over new, improved ones... and I
don't want to put money in a video card only to run an operating system.
it depends.....
if u like those "fancy" GUI...... than go 4 vista....
and be warned......
there's still a lot of program that vista cannot support.....
and u need at least 1GB RAM (it'll be very lag running vista below 512mb or so)
to run vista..........

no my computer too old to run vista
No. I just got a new computer. No need for another so soon.

Not unless I have to. Vista offers nothing I want and lots of thing I don't.

Probably not.. I'm happy with how my computer is like now.. haha
I don't want to upgrade to win vista happy as things are now don't want to lose the power of my comp to windows
Same here
No I don't think it'll make a difference compared to XP

It depends of the results that shows with first users. I always see the behavior of a OS before I decide why I need to use it too.

Let me just start of by saying.... hahahahahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA(...)
It's only XP with a new skin and some fixed bugs.
Maybe you're wrong...
The shell of Vista will NOT be explorer.exe: this is a very BIG difference.
yeah ...i'll upgrade ...later
