I'm gonna have to go with Dragon Ball Z, mostly because Naruto is starting to
feel like DBZ... in all the wrong ways: dragging stories out to where the depth
of them is stretched out into being shallow; ridiculous moves that ninjas
wouldn't do (did people forget they are all about stealth?) A real ninja would
kill them all in their sleep); the "big bad guy" constantly being
replaced with someone "bigger and badder"... and the list goes on.
Dragon Ball Z was weird, but it felt more original where Naruto is beginning to
feel like it's trying to replace DBZ.
On the other hand, Naruto finishes its fights within a single volume, at least
this far. There's far less of a "drag out the fights to ridiculous
degrees" in Naruto.
I mean, they're both shounen titles, which, most of the time, thrive on
villains, confrontations and battles. And while I do agree that Naruto seems to
become less about the ninja and more about the general brawler, it's still a
good deal more involved than the outright slugfest that is DBZ.
Had you asked me which is best of Naruto and Dragonball, however, I'd need some
time to think about it. ^^;;
Also, I'd like to add that none of them are particularly fantastic. They are
both, at best, guilty, brainless pleasures I read. Compared to my favorite
titles, they're pretty average.
Naruto all around is a better anime, the only thing that is disapointing with
naruto is the amount of fillers they have. I can't do DB they talk to much about
fighting and the storys not that good and has alot of repeat footage.
Durrh! I forgot to mention I was doing comparison over manga versions. I've seen
very little of anime DBZ and none of Naruto, so fillers and such is irrelevant
in my case. (Though I am fully aware that DBZ drags out fights to ridiculous
degrees and puts Naruto fans through filler hell after a set number of
episodes.)
my reasons
-more episodes
-more power
-lots of stuff like aliens, fighting magic and so on
-the uncut verison have heaps of swearing =)
-theres also dragonball and dragonball gt which can be found on youtube and
downloaded from majintrunks.
-in total theres like 20+ games of it and 20+ movies aswell, if u count db and
dbgt
Naruto in every way. The "action" in DBZ involves 20 minutes of
"powering up" their super attack, which often misses or gets
deflected. The storyline is really bad too.

dbz was old anime, when I watch once again, it's a kind like seeing and old
anime
I agree if naruto replace dbz, good story, good character, and a new anime,
maybe will be a great anime if the filler doesn't exist
it's not really that fair to compare the quality in the 2 since DBZ was made in
the early 90s so the animation isn't going to be as good as todays anime like
Naruto. Bad things are that DBZ has its fights which last 100 episodes and
Naruto has its fillers. DBZ was great when i watched it back then but now i
watch Naruto so i will have to go with Naruto because its newer and i just like
ninjas and stuff. Although i would pick Vegeta over any character in Naruto even
Kakashi which is hard for me to do. Vegeta Rules! hahaha. There are better anime
out there than these 2 but between them i'll go with Naruto.
When two stories are different, can you truly choose which of the two are
better? Is it that you would show preference rather than decide between the two?
Is it that one is more of a profit in the end over the other? Or is it that one
is more of a benifit than the other? The answer lies with the experience.
i always thought the dbz eps dragged to no return. the fights took ages to
finish and the characters get stronger, with their hair turning yellow and
getting longer and all, but once they reached 3rd stage and beyond, i gave up
watching. it was way too repetitive.
Yes, naruto is repetitive but so far, its only the fillers that are going out of
hand. once these last few fillers end, the storyline continues and i simply find
it more entertaining.
I like naruto more than dragonball Z because naruto has better artwork and has
some degree of originality in their fighting style whilst dragonball Z has
nearly the same type of move. Naruto also has more emotional content whilst
dragonball Z is one long series of non-stopping fight. Not a tear is shed when
the anime character dies.
In my opinion Naruto has a deep story line but DBZ seems to have more action for me its hard for me to say what do you think?

I prefer Naruto: better story depth, character development, soundtracks, voice acting, and not to mention, animation.
I choose naruto!

Naruto is so cool that i can even watch it on Youtube all day long!

Can somebody be my friend that likes Naruto?

I'll go with DBZ, because I haven't seen Naruto so I can't judge it besides what i've seen from AMV's
DB>ALL! i mean come on naruto is basicly dbz anyway minus the good stuff about dbz so there's no point in comparing them

Definitley Naruto, Mush better Animation, Deeper story and More Developed Characters, and i'd have to say it seems a bit more realistic.
And those who dont know about Naruto DEFINITLEY need to go watch it on Youtube
Naruto=GREATNESS
Only TRUE MAN watches DRAGONBALL Z!
Nah, true men watch Gankutsuou. Now THERE is an anime for grownups.

I love the irony in that.
LOL!
dragon ball z here
Naruto!
Naruto.
Better characters (not that this is saying much...)
Stronger first part (then fillers...)
And in terms of action scenes, DBZ is old and it shows.
