Well, I had just bought a Ranma 1/2 figure collection (for the first time in my
life! WOOHOO!~ ) It has 5 sets in 1, which each cost (Malaysian Dollar) RM11.72
each [check out its approximate price-converted-with-my-country's-currency list
of your country's currency below]
As a first time buyer, I have no idea how to look for the best quality . I first thought It's directly imported from Japan due to its expensive cost
(in Malaysia). However, I got a shock
Then, I checked the figures, some which has a 'scar'-like lines at its sides,
like this one>>Click HERE.
In additional, the figures' hair are like assembled (example HERE)
The only thing I think has its authenticity is their eyes (example HERE)
Oh, not to forget, underneath each of these figures has a copyright name
"Rumiko Takahashi".
Well, my problem is:
1. Are they of good quality?
2. Are they fakes or original?
If Made in China figures are okay, do they make cheaper but as good as
Japan-made quality figures too? (I don't mean to degrade Chine-made stuff, but
just want to learn about qualities ^^)
I kind of recall how Sader look like when mention made in china figures...anyway
seriously they are cheaper but its very obvious there are not as good as Japan
made quality figures.A box like those won't cost around $5 like that in my
country,it usually cost more like around $7+ at least and more...
btw, what i doubted the most is its company. as mention before, it has Japanese
company name but of made-in-china origins, which is rather suspicious to me. A
sign of pirated stuff?
malaysian! allrite! me too!
but thing is, things nowadays are ALWAYS 'made in china' so, it's okay..
the labor there is cheap, so ppl tend to make figures like that in china..
so the quality is a bit low, bear with it!
they look nice from the pics tho! :P

what's Sader? or Saber?
Sader is the name of the Made In China figures of Saber which officially given
by many people, and its obvious you see this is definitely a fake
But from the packaging i see,it does'nt look fake to me...so to what i
think, what you bought should be original.
If you look for quality, nothing's better than Kotobukiya, I think..... Really,
those made-in-china are not quality productions, in my country, they say almost
everything that has the "made in china" legend on it is a FAKE,
because most of them aren't even made in china! But if you like it, there's no
point in feeling wrong with it

NE, you just become Sader's Tormentor. Kokuyu, don't follow .....*eyes the
trailing form* Hey ~! I just said that !
Yeap, True that reject figurines are an eyesore. But guys, they are just rejects
ne....
i brought 2 Kingdom Hearts 2 figures last year,boy they were expensive....and i
did saw a box of Ranma 1/2 figure too,and i saw a gundam seed figure
too,yeah,it's a girl with pink hair,i think norine07 would luv it^^
This is how I see it. The Japanese company owns the rights and have China mass
produce the product.
I own quite a handful of figures made in China and are a majority of them were
brought from respectable Japanese online stores. The figures have a copyright
labled from the original companies. I don't think bootlegs would have the
japaense copyright stamped on the product. They would probably use their own
company name.

At the box, it has a Japanese company name, but included 3 words which are in contrast>>Click HERE
Besides, they were packed in a rather simple box, with this design:

hrmm?
definitely making me losing my appetite....her face looks mockingly
terrible.
so to say, it means this Japanese company manufactures it in China in order to save cost?

So does China get these legalised to make it in China or is it just illegal manufacturing?
