I too don't like to lend anyone my anime/manga. They can get their own, or they have to read it at my house. I like to have it in good condition.

Yeah, I see no problem with lending my stuff. Long as I get them back intact. It's not like they're priceless (all of my anime is burned anyway.)

i give them one manga to start and if they bring it back in good condition they can continue. Never once did i get a book back that was ruined i always got it back like it was new. Maybe because i hound them about ruining my stuff if it just has a little kink to the edge i flip.

I don't mind lending my anime cds. But if it is a manga book, no way!

I only lend my anime discs to trusted friends whom I know are resposible. Far too many times I've lend stuff to people only to know that either they went missing or destroyed. Manga are too precious for lending.

Hahahahahaha are you crazy. i lend one before and when i got it back it was lyk all bended and stuff.

I only lend my mangas to one or two of friends that I know that likes em. I don't have much to lend anyway. I don't think that they would destroy them anyway.

I only lend it to my cousin and nephew, but it's only few of them and it's probably not my fav anime or manga. And I only lend it to only my friend that I can trust and that only 1 person, because I had bad memories when I lend it to my friends, when I get it back it's was in awfull condition and the worst is the manga or anime wont come back to me, they said it lost.

So I only lend to the poeple I trust very much.

Well, I lend my manga and anime to my closest friends but sometimes I feel uncomfortable that they might ruin it... 'Cause I lended my Fushigi Yuugi to a friend, but she ended up scratching my discs and got oil all over it.. I think she was eating while touching my discs. That also includes my inuyasha episodes... grrr.. i'm so mad.. AND as for my manga, I lent my other friend a manga series and she bent it, but then kinda was scared to tell me, but she later had the courage and told me that she bent it accidentally.. And i thought that was kind of her to tell me face to face.... So i do lend my animes and mangas but from now on i'll choose carefully who it is!

I use to lend my animes but not anymore. Most of my friends probably wouldn't take care of it and i've worked to hard to earn the cash to buy mangas and animes to have it ruined. Besides, there's the chance you'll never see it again and i'm no library or rental shop either.

I tend to lead towards manga, only because it's easier with my time schedule. I don't have a lot of time to sit down and watch anime. ^^;

Yes, but i dont really like too...only to people i know wont lose or mutilate it...my friend lost one of my manga a few days ago! >=O

It's very rare that people ask for anime/manga from me.
1) because I don't have a lot of anime/manga fans
2) from the friends that I have that enjoy anime/manga, they have different tastes than I do.

Generally though, I would lend them out if they can be trusted. I would hate to lend something and get it back tattered.

I looked in this thread and saw my own post on the first page, how things have changed. Well I'm still assy with my lending stuff, but currently I'm lending out almost all the anime I own (yes, I have some now, back then it was a new interest), all that's left is Ghost in the Shell (cos everyone has it) and Howl's Moving Castle (just bought it).

That said I like to lend, share and borrow stuff. I'm currently borrowing a few things too.

i lend my mangas but only to those i choose but i make the rules clear : if it's in bad shape, you'll pay the new one ! i don't give the jaquette with book if he is a little damaged... no pity !

After I two to my friend,I stopped because she folded a corner! A CORNER I TELL YOU! WHAT COULD BE WORSE THAT FROLDING THAT ONE PERFECT CORNER!?! I am still mad at her...

All the time as I do normally get something back when they buy something new. Also my friends normally give thing that I lent back in a week even if it is a box set

I used to but these irresponsible excuses of human beings just kept climing they lost them and "suprisingly" other friends of mine swore they saw those anime/manga at their home when theyve been there.
So if somebody asks for something from me, i ask for a dvd and copy it to them now.

Ah well I specifically tell any of my friends who borrow my manga that if they ruin it really bad I WILL make them buy me a new one :3 So I usually get them back in perfect condition..only one time where one of my friends had to resort to buying me a new one *she did it willingly before even telling me though* since she spilled coffee on it > >' lol.
