Though I didn't know it was "anime" at the time, my first merchandise
was probably the Voltron Lions action figures (which you combined to form
Voltron, otherwise known as "Hundred Beast King GoLion/FiveLion") that
go for a "mint" nowadays (it was one of the coolest toys I ever had!).
I also had plastic versions of the Vehicle Voltron ("Armored Fleet
Dairugger XV") which I really enjoyed as well. I still kick myself for not
being able to get the diecast version of Dairugger when I had the chance, as it
was extremely rare even back then. I also had a couple of other mech figures,
including a giant version of one of the Mazinger-related mechs (whose name
escapes me at the moment).
The Outlaw Star soundtrack cd, got it on ebay for $5 and I was SO excited. It
made me so happy I bought the other two, one of the soundtrack CD's for Tenchi
Muyo, and every single sountrack CD for Cowboy Bebop.
A deck of Sailor Moon cards; the first of many. I gotta have at least 20. Those
card decks are great ways of getting cheap art from your favorite shows.
mine were some stickers with sailor moon, and some collectable items from the
same anime. around here you don't easaly find anime stuff, and if you do they
are soooo expensive
If you mean one that I bought myself, it would be the Pocket Watch Replica of
the State Alchemists in FMA
Otherwise, the first anime item that I had would be the fake pokemon card
stickers we bought at a dime store
Mine was a miniature Charizard figurine which I bought such a long time ago
I so
wish I could find it again
Good question...
