As i like almost any anime when given the choice i will go with the old hand
drawn anime any day of the week. There is something about it that a computer can
not replicate, to me they just seam more alive.
honestly .. don`t have nothin`with old animez .. but if i have to choose i will
.. i like modern ones best .. of course the motiv is obvious .. the chars look
way better xD .. but as solidvanz said .. if the story has potential .. i`ll
totally watch an old one xD
I like modern anime better, maybe because I saw them first. But also because
sometimes older are really kind of monstrous and not so well drawn concerning
human bodies.(with no offense :/)
However, some oldies are really awesome....:D
I can enjoy both kinds. Sometimes, the smoothness of the newer ones start to get
to me, and I have to go back to old school for the simple nostalgia of it.
I don't know, it might just be me that's like that. I sometimes just get sick of
looking at newer anime. Not sure why that is...
Depends on what you consider 'old'. I'm the first one to jump at a Violinist of
Hameln or Gundam original recomendation. But there are some good shows coming
out now with amazing graphics and fantastic shows from ten, twenty, thirty years
ago that have some of the best plot I've ever seen.
The key isn't just to keep looking to the future. If you're into anime, don't
just watch FMA and Inu-Yasha and Death Note. Check out the anime of your roots
too. Throw in some Ronin Warriors and Macross. You'll be glad you did.
I prefer modern animes. They simply have a sharper, more refined look to them
and higher tech in the effects means cooler action scenes when those mech or
swordsmen are going at each other.
Usually I watch whatever is availible. Modern anime's graphics and music is
usually better than the older types (thanks to computers). The stories tend to
be more original. But then the question arises, how much CG can an anime take
gefore it loses its anime quality?
But on the other hand, some new titles use computers as a quick escape and then
the graphics still look cheap.
You may watch older anime purely for the story, the more simple drawn quality
and the different types of "acting".
There's still some classic titles I'd like to get my hands on while a lot of new
stuff looks good just on principle. Its a toss-up!
it depends, so I will say both. As the times changed different aspects of anime
were regarded as the most important, the heroes changed from being good or
bad(they had to belong to one of these cathegories), to being good, but acting
bad for a certain reason, so they became more humane.... I love different anime
from different years
I like both, i still run into those old animes that i haven't watched before, or
i just have to watch one another time. I generally don't care about the drawing
style when it comes to anime, i prefer a good story or something i can just
enjoy.
I don't think that's a very good question because modern anime is more common
than older ones. I myself have only seen two: one featuring a girl called Kiko,
the other about a young girl who transforms into a talented purple-haired
songstress.
I admit, I do like watching an anime that is more "modern", just
because the quality control is better. probably what set the standard with me
was watching "Akira", because of the quality of the anime. I never
appreciated what the animators go through when it comes to the hard work and the
desired effects.
There is something I like very much about the older anime. That it was done
without the aid of a computer. To me, when all animators rely on CGI to do
anime, then the art of anime could be lost for good.
Then, there is the storyline, if it's good to watch, I don't mind watching it.
I love both...modern & old anime. But, i don't really care if it's modern or
old, as long as the storyline is good. But yeah, older anime they have
originality ^^. Nowadays, the modern anime contains lots of
fanservices...~~~harem (duh, i really hate those kind of anime...but, maybe i
can consider it if it's good ones^^) eventhough the graphics are much better.

(yes I'm a little weird)

as long as its an anime!
lol really true.
But I prefer modern anime since I'd like the crispier animation.

I would go for any but, I tend to watch more new anime than old. Remembering the classics is always good.
Modern have more detialed animation while old ones have nothing but it sometimes have good story line so it goes with the modern ones so
i prefer both.
like both but prefer modern
old....with time it just shows it's worth and how much better it was b4 ;_;

Either of the two, could be an old or modern anime, as long the story plot is interesting & good to watch at..
modern! sometimes old is ok too
I prefer the modern visuals but if the old animes contain a very nice storyline, the visual wouldn't matter as much... so i'll stay with both lol

both but mainly modern as I like the graphics to look good
i dun kinda understand if the modern anime talks about mecha stuff.. i mean, i'm a slow learner! so dun bombard me with those mechanical terms! lol
but i watch fmp for the sake of hilariousness, so maybe both are my fave.. rurouni for OLD n fma for NEW! n samurai champloo for BOTH!
