ANIME RULZ! there's nothing better in my opinion. My parents don't mind me
wacting it either b/c they say it's better than those violent movies and
games(little do they know. I only let them see me watching things like gundam
seed. They don't know about others i watch like Elfen Lied hehe )
well, my mother doesn't like my hobbie, i had a lot of problems because that...
sometimes she saw anime with me (when i was child), but not recently, we saw
sailor moon, ranma 1/2, candy candy and dragon ball.
(gomen, but my english is really bad, jeje, i hope you understand it)
My mother do not like anime. She just cannot understand that it's far more
better than various soap operas and endless detective stories which she watches
every evening.
When I first got into anime, I was 12, so my parents thought I would grow out of
it within a few years. After showing no signs of my obsession disappearing, my
parents were getting a little tired of it - they thought it was childish. Now,
I'm 19, and they don't really care anymore. ^_^ Well, my dad probably thinks I
could be doing better things with my time and money, but my mom is cool with it,
especially since she actually watched some series and moviews with me and found
out she liked 'em. ^_^
I still get a little nervous when I watch some series at home though. I'm from a
Christian family, and one day I was watching X TV in the family living room. For
some strange reason, both of my parents decided to come in and just sit at what
had to be the worst time in the show... Luckily, they weren't paying attention,
or I definitely would've gotten a "what they heck are you watching?"
lecture...
My mother likes anime, actually she sees some with us. As for my father..he
doesn't seem to like it, even though he bought Full Metal Alchemist action
figures for my cousins, Naruto toys for us, Gundams for my little brother and
two Sephiroths for me.
Thankfully I didn't show my obsession for anime until late highschool and going
into college. Sometimes I note something that goes along with the conversation
from a certain show as many adults would give examples from non-animated shows.
My parents are fine with it (and I'm 22) so it's all good. Anyone who is having
problems with their parents believing anime is a bad influence; their parents
aren't paying attention to today's TV. Many animes have beneficial qualities
that most parents would like to see their child watching, but are blinded by its
animated and to them therefore childish nature.
My parents support me for watching anime. They support me on my hobbies as long
as it won't give any bad influence in my life especially like drugs. They tend
to say it's better for u to have anime hobbies rather than screwing around n
become drugs junkies.
hehe my dad dont't like that we look anime. he think's we can do so much other
things than just looking anime and read manga;=) but mom don't really care. even
if i think she don't like we are looking at it. but i have studio ghibli videos
with my mom and dad^^
My dad thinks it childish and thinks I m crazy,my mom..well I ve invited her
many times to wathch anime with me but she doesn t have time but she doesn t
care if I watch anime or not
I live with my dad and it doesn't matter to him.But I haven't watched an anime
with him,but he does see me watching anime's on youtube so he can see the
cute,fun,serious things of it.For him,anime is like realistic movies,cartoons
and animated movies. He knows that I like animated movies like Ice Age and such
so he understands me and the fact that I love to draw anime helps too.^-^
Before I told my dad,I was affraid that he would find it childish, but after a
while I thought like 'If I am childish, then all the other people over the whole
world who are mostly even older than I am,are childish too,so I am NOT
childish!'.Heh,yeah,that's what I thought,kind of.=P
my parents generally don't seem to care, and nor have they actually sat down to
watch them with me. they'll probably care if they i end up fail a class because
i watch too much though >.>
for my parents it doesn't really matter for them, but my older sister hates it
and says that it's a waste of time and money. oh well i just don't listen to
her...^_^
My twin sis watches a series every now and then if its really good and to her
tastes, but then again I dont watch anime 24/7 either. But to the point, my
parents were actually the ones who introduced me to my first proper anime series
with my sister. Neon Genesis, though I was a bit young to understand the last
third of the series.
My mom doesn't care, and I watch some of the lighter anime (Samurai 7, Ghibli
movies, Ect...) with her.
Dad doesn't care, but I haven't watched any with him.
I'm thinking about watching SAC with him, but am a little embarrassed by the
Fanservice of the majors nomal outfit in the first season.
What's the opinion of your parents about your like for the anime? is good? is bad? Or it does not matter for them?
Another thing.. Your parents have seen anime with you?
I wait for you comment jejeje

My parent doesn't care whether I watch it or not, as long as my grade doesn't drop. They label it as childish though. I'm happy anyway.
