Soooo since I couldn't find a wacom tablet, I got this hp pavillion with tablet pc thingy. I was happy because I thought I could draw in photoshop. I tested with MS Paint and it worked so perfectly I went and jumped everywhere around the room.

And jumping like that I installed photoshop.
But..... when I tried using photoshop, something evil happened. I thought I could illustrate it to explain better.

In this picture, I pretended to draw only circles, but these lines appeared like if I hadn't lifted the pen.

I've been told to check "shape dynamics" at the brushes tab. It's been checked all the time. Then I was told to search for "pressure sensitivity" at the tablet pc's config, but I couldn't find any option related to that, meaning that this computer probably doesn't have that. I've been told it's hopeless bug and to use the GIMP. =(
Does this mean I'm doomed, or is there a secret option I haven't tried? Thanks for the help....

Was dropping by to look at your other work and saw this post. I've actually been researching this too in hopes of getting a tablet PC sometime soon. The thing I believe will give you the options you want is found at http://www.wacom.com/tabletpc/driver.cfm

This is a Tablet PC driver supplied by Wacom that basically gives it all the features of the Graphire series tablets if not more. The one I linked to is the Windows XP version, if you need a driver for Vista, just look in the downloads sections and you will find "Tablet PC" listed under models.

Hope this helps.

hmmm... hard problem... well.. i dont hav hp tablet... mine is a genius one.. (unfortunately not a wacom too xD)
but.... i know sometimes its a dumb question... but... have you reinstaled your tablet driver? and photoshop?
i really do not believe its a bug...
im not saying it cant be... i just think it would a really dumb bug....
what i believe that happening is that when you take the pen of the table, the system do not recognize it..(and consider as if you just hav stoped in that point and still painting) so in the next point that you put your pen on your table... it draws a line as if you hav painted a straight line....
so... the problem is in your tablet driver.... maybe you can look over the internet for an update for you driver or some new version or other driver compatible with your tablet...
if you are not lucky in your research for new drivers.. and other kinds of try.. i think you should warn the producer of this problem...

hav you tried to use corel painter? its really cool... i think that the combination of photoshop + corel painter is perfect.. ^^
take care and see ya..

Have you set your "Shape Dynamic's" "Size Jitter" to "pen pressure" ? Also try to set Minimum Diametere there to 1% or whatever you like. I also own a Wacom tablet and it works fine with Photoshop ^^

So your just using the soft round brush and these conecting lines appear after taking pressure off? even the curving ones? If your pen is acting more like a mouse then you don't have the right drivers. The wrong drivers will always stuff you up with your Wacom. If you don't have any Wacom control pannel then you don't have Drivers installed.

That said i get some weird 45 degree lines trailing off after lifting, but thats only 1 out of 100 lines and i suspect its my shift key being abused too much.

Ok guys, thank you for your suggestions, but I solved the problem, sort of. I got a different version of photoshop and it worked perfectly so no worries. =)

I figured it was a photoshop thing because I had no problems with MS Paint, Illustrator and the GIMP...
