Hi
Im just enquiring as to how i get my work taken OFF the site. I inadvertently posted some work in progress that is not allowed, two images of Akira, one lined, and the next with some added colour. The lined work was promptly removed, to which i have no complaint, but i then recieved the following notification:

Quote: seraphim170,

The artwork/doujinshi you have submitted entitled Akira work in progress was removed from Minitokyo because it was deemed not to be a clearly planned art piece. Please only submit work that you have finished to a certain degree and show effort and planning. In-progress works are not allowed.

The artwork/doujinshi you have submitted may have also appeared to have been traced and not hand-drawn. Please only submit items that you have drawn by yourself and not by copying another's work.

Also bear in mind that uploading pictures taken with a camera results in poor uploads- please scan your doujinshi.

Sincerely,

Minitokyo Staff

Additional information provided by the moderator:
\"Works in Progress\" are not allowed.

You can always post your art in the Sandbox.

Feedback can be directed at the moderator of the gallery your entry was in, which are eunasahng, unicorn2006.

Again i have no problem with my work being removed, actually, that would be most appropriate - i take great offence to the suggestion that my work has been traced - i have sat for many hours, with planning as this work is for a friend, first drawing this A3 sized image in HB pencil, before seeking approval from my friend to proceed with colouring, which is being done in inks and pencils. I have been a proffesional artist for 15 years and never had the suggestion that my art is traced. The image is taken from a still in the film yes, i agree, but the work is completely hand drawn, and to suggest otherwise, to me, is very offensive, and as such i feel it best that my art be removed from the site. So can you please tell me how i can remove my art from my gallery?

Didn't delete your work but I think I can explain this. Your piece broke a rule of MT which is that we don't allow works in progress. You are already aware of this so there is little to be added.

The rest of the PM you received is an automated message that comprehends a list of probable causes that got your piece deleted. Not all of those statements imply that you did ALL of them so don't get offended by it. I mean we can't have a personal message to each deletion we make. We would like to but we are all human and have stuff to do so we can't afford to spend a lot of time trying to make every single deletion personalized. I know an automated message can be cold but that's all we can do.

If you are still offended by this and wish to remove your works, you can open your image (in your gallery) and look the menu on your left, under your "Owner Options you'll see you can edit, update and delete. You click on delete and then confirm you want your item deleted.

I'm not trying to provoke you or anything, but really, you shouldn't feel that offended.

thanks for the prompt reply, ill delete the other work in progress and post the finished item as soon as its done. Please forgive me for being upset but you must accept my position upon recieving the notification - i am a proffesional and tracing, especially other ppls work is NOT in my vocabulary. A suggestion i might make is a bit of a revision to the text of the automated notifications if possible - i was most upset at any suggestion of 'foul play' if you like on my part, and im sure that other members might get a bit miffed at any kind of suggestions of deliberate wrong doing, however inadvertent.
thanks for the advice, ill be sure to post finished items from now on, (of my own hand drawn work.....)

I deleted one with the message that Works in Progress are not allowed. It was NOT the suggestion that it may be Ripped Art.

We only allow finished items, but if you want to share your work while in progress you are free to use the Sadnbox to ask for ideas.

As for deleting your own work... Down the left-hand side of the page you will see a section called Owners Options. In there are links for Edit, Update & Delete. If you want to edit your title or descirption then use the Edit. If you want to update the image then use Update. If you want to delete it entirely then you can use Delete.
