Galaxy Angel and all it's following seasons (Z,A,AA,X) are good.
Full Metal Panic Fumouffu as said by the others is also great
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is also a must watch.

If you like anime which parodies other animes then i would suggest:
- Lucky Star
- Hayate no Gotoku
They start off rather strange but both are enjoyable.

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is probably the most hilarious anime I've seen, if just for the imaginary friends (are they imaginary o_O) of Sunako. I wish sunako didn't spend so much time in chibi form, but other then that the series had me laughing. It's a different kind of story.

I also really like lovely complex right now... such a great show. Many say it's recycled but I don't care, the characters make it for me.

How about Hare Guu....it's funny but a little gore.
Suzumiya Haruhi...funny with fans services..:D

I really enjoyed very much watching Samuray Champloo. It makes you laugh, cry, think, averything you need to make a good anime.

Try:
Cromartie High School - about an average student who enrolled in a school for delinquents. Crazy funny anime.

and

Honey and Clover - probably one of the best out there. Has a good mix of drama and comedy.

If you don't mind an older series you can't beat El Hazard. Just stay away from its sequels.

Almost anything Koge-Donbo, and maybe Nurse Witch Komugi as well

the funniest that i've seen so far is Ouran High School Host Club, School Rumble, Yakitate Japan! and Hare + Guu. they're hilarious and they keep you laughing even after you've finished. LOVE THEM! ^_^v
