Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, Gun x Sword, Mahoromatic, Azumanga

Chobits, GTO, Ranma 1/2 are all pretty funny, but the best comedy anime I've watched so far is Kodocha (Kodomo No Omocha). Sana-chan is really funny! But then again.... I haven't watched that many comedy anime.... :P

I think One Piece's the funniest, I LOVE that serie.

They are all good ones yea i too like fumoffu but one piece isn't as funny to me but still it's cool the way monkey D stretches when he fights. hahah Azumanga Daioh and School Rumble are choice hahaha but i still put FLCL at the top of the list but i am currently watching seto no Hanayome and kenichi. i think seto is a bit weird but funny and kenichi is more like an action comedy i like this one because it has cool kunfu mixed with comedy just like Kaze no stigma.

School Rumble is probably top of my list for outright funniest anime. But I think Tomokazu Sugita is a brilliantly funny VA, so pretty much anything he does a comedy role in is funny just from him.

Crescent Love (u gotta love d humor specially with d chibis)
Otome wa boku ni Koishiteru (dont let the weird story get 2 yah, it has lots of fun stuff)
Air gear (once u see how they censor the ecchi parts using crows )
GTO (perverted teacher and rebellous students wat can yah ask for?)
Chobits (innocent ecchi that leads 2 comedy ^^)
Maburaho (fun story and funny harem)
School Rumble (everythin about love confessions can be so funny)
DearS (story is like chobits with some ecchi and very funny episodes)
and lastly...
Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi (wahahahahahahahahahah)

I thought Nodame Cantabile was pretty damn funny.

i started Hayate no gotoku a while but but didn't continue after the first three episodes 1. because i am currently watching i think 6 or 7 anime as soon as they come fresh from the press and 2. it was funny but not beating head against wall funny but maybe i stopped watching it too early, when i finish one of these that i'm currently watching i will start Hayate no gotoku. Haha must suck having unreliable parents to put u in so much debt.

I'll take a look also at zetsubou and Nodame soon.

It's really hard to find any anime that is strictly one genre (that's one of the best things about anime, actually) but there are a few mostly comedy ones I can name.

I also am planning to see Azumanga Daioh very soon. Chobits I would disagree with not because its hilarious but because it's half-comedy, half-sci-fi. Most of the others that were listed I haven't seen yet *feels very uninformed*
