I find out about a series, and then if it appears to my liking, I'll search up
some reviews (this site is awesome for that). If the reviews say it's good, I'll
go out to buy it or borrow it from a friend. It seems effective, I've loved just
about every anime I've seen so far.
Before, I usually watch anime shows aired on TV. But last time, when I watched
the SD Gundam and Medabots, it gives me a thought that I shouldn't be punishing
myself on watching such anime. From there, I started to watch anime shows based
on popularity and on what my friends recommends me to.
However, if I watched an anime they told me to and didn't enjoy it, then I'd
better skip it!
Well I go on myanimelist.net and look up the animes I've already watched and
find similar animes to it. Then I read the sypnosis to see if the plot is
something I'd like. Or I can do a subject search for animes that belong to the
subject I like. HAhaha...I choose animes that I find "pretty", animes
that are romantic comedies and stuff like that. ^_^
Usually, the first 5 minutes makes a difference. Either that or watch something
you're familiar with. Example, Devil May Cry. I'm a DMC fan so I watch that.
I ask my baby sister lol she's the one that put me and our other brothers into it lol ...she always knows what kinda anime we're going to like
Thanx Hime-Chan!
i just listen around and see whats popular and find a bit out of the story. then
i just watch it. i usually go for series that have a end first so i can get
those out of the way
i wonder how i choose an anime to watch... i think the plot is doesn't matter,
if i continued after episode one then i guess i'll continue to watch them till
the end..
sometimes, i choose the anime contains lots of bishies of course!
I often ask my brother what anime I could watch..I like anime series that are
more serious
my favorite lately is Claymore..here s a gif that I made yesterday with
Clare
I am surprised to notice that lately I watch a lot of new anime series.. o.O
For me its sometimes trial and error, I'll start something that I think will
interest me and if I like it then I watch it, if noy then I stop. Sometimes its
also the artwork, but not all the time.
I also give anime a chance if I've read a manga. If I liked a manga then I'll
watch the anime just to see how they interpret stuff as well as to see what they
change, add, or take away.
Quote by YoukailadyI check out
animenewsnetwork and read the plot summary and if it sounds like something I
would like I watch the first episode and then go from
there
Same here, and actually I bet Youkailady might do this too, I even check the
overall rating if its an anime I'm unfamiliar with but interested in. But I look
for Genres, Story/Plot, Characters, Animation, and yeah thats really it for
me.
Lately i've been watching the newest series..i watch and episode two
..three..and then i decide whether i'll continue watching it or not..if it gets
my attention then I'll definitely watch it.
Of course there are some series..that if i drop them...i might give them a
second chance
I usually start by asking my pals what they recommend, no mater if they're old
series or new series.
If they have no recs for me, then I do some research by myself.
Like when I was looking for an old anime to watch, and I found Black Jack...or a
new/ongoing anime, and I found Lucky Star
XD
But I have to like the drawing style, the plot, and if it has bishies, it gets
extra points :P

Maybe through reading things about it or through pictures I see of it!

read randomc's season preview, decide which ones are worth watching, then watch all the ones you can from that list. then make your decision.
granted, i have a lot of time, or at least make a lot of time for this stuff lol
I read reviews on the internet. I read reviews from www.themanime.org.

Well, I follow several methods.
1. I learn about an interesting anime in forums and then watch it in tv and then download it.
2. Some anime loving friend recommend me watching an anime and then I download it.
3. Lastly, I go to various site for the summary and download first episodes of various anime. Then I download which seem interesting to me.
depends on what mood i am in at the time when i want to watch something
First I'll check out the art and story, then i look on the internet to see how it's rated and read some reviews (spoiler free of course).
I choose based in design and story.

I usually choose by hearing it from someone and looking it up. If the plot and story seems interesting, I'll take a look deeper into it.

I watch it when the cover is a nice one, with pretty girls, or when it looks like an adventure anime and stuff like that xD
i would look at the art and title of the story...and if it interests me...i'll look at the summary...
