Im trying to make a top 10 list as to the best and worst dub jobs made through
anime. Yes, I know the original japanese language is the best at conveying
emotion and such, but im looking for others experiences as to which series you
believe did the best jobs with their dubbing and the worst.
Please justify your responces.
Some of the best ive heard were Evangelion, Full Metal Panic and Azumanga.
Some of the worst include Negima and Naruto.
Any contribution you could make would be helpful.

Anyway the top dubs from anime i've seen would have to be
BEST
1. Cowboy Bebop - It's just top work, you really get into the characters
2. You're Under Arrest - Even the original japanese director even said that the
dub was better, i mean does it get any better than that? Plus Juliet Cesario as
Miyuki = heavenly
3. Ah! My Goddess The Movie - best dub out of the other casts anyway

As far as worst goes, i have rarely come across a dub that really grinded on me,
the only one that has would be

1. Amazing Nurse Nanako - it was mostly Nanako's voice that annoyed me, but the
anime as a whole was pretty average in itself anyway

far for all the tip off on bad/good dubs, any more would be appreciated
I dont know about "best" or "worst" but japanese voice
actors are trained much differentlly than american actors. The quality usually
is better simply because the medium is veiwed much differently over there. It is
not seen so much as something that needs overexaggerated emoitions for children
but rather an entertainment for all ages.
:ahem: anyway best dub I heard is defineitly cowboy bebop. Voice actors are all
top notch there .
IMO, the best dub is Hellsing. I think that Samurai Champloo and Spirited Away
are preety close too. The worst....there are so many...you should hear Romanian
dubs for Naruto and Howl's Moving Castle...they're painful.
Mostly the dubs that arnt that good seem to focus around 4kids and shows based
towards a 8+ audience. These eps are usually also cut to an extreme length to
minimise violence and sexuality (eg. Yugioh, DB/DBZ/DBGT). These dubs wernt that
good I feel either. Also Card Captors Sakura. Naruto dub is a ear bleeding,
brain sneezing piece of work...

I thought the cowboy bebop, dragonball z, and gundam wing dubs were very good. A horrible dub is gundam seed lol

yep, yugioh takes the bad dub cake, cherry and icing
