I find myself very open to being an anime fan, i dont hide the fact at all, and
don't care if others dont like it, as its all a matter of opinion. I am involved
in an anime society at my university too so everyone i know knows i like it even
if they dont its
one of biggest things in my life hehe so why hide it?
lol its funny how the majority of people in north America don't watch anime but
all my friends including me watch anime religiously so thats a yes i'm open
about watching anime
hmmm... i'am quite open but at the same time no... hehehe... yea when i meet my
friend that is another anime fan i tell her what series i just finished and
discuss it a bit but i don't usually tell it to my other friends which is kinda
not that interested in anime... altho i do tell them or recommend it to them but
i do not talk about it that much
Open all the way. All my friends know that i watch anime. Hey i even got a few
of them interested into watching anime. Any new friend i meet will also know by
the end of the first day that i watch it. I dont think its something to be
ashamed of.
Yes, I'm totally open about it, I even paste some anime figurines on my
notebooks and draw manga-style during classes when I have done the exercises.
Once a teacher asked me to draw something for her, but then I stoped showing my
drawings when some classmates started to ask to draw for them (Though I'm not
that good at it)... But I never explain details abut anime to people I don't
think will like it =P . . . OK, only when they say they think it's Chinese xD
Depends, but I don't really mind being open about being an anime fan. After all,
we have the right to like whatever we want to. x3 It's just that people tend to
tease us fellow anime fans for some strange reason *has no idea why they have to
be so immature*, so to avoid trouble I sometimes rather not be too open about
it. I know there are quite a few anime fans at school though (just don't know
who! D: ).
lol im definitely open about it.
although my class sadly, im the only so called fangirl. the
more enthsiastic one? =='' that's quite sad. but it doesnt matter. i still
discuss anime with the guys and all.
i am not afraid to say im an anime fan but its a hobbie that i like and i talk
to my friends that are intrested and i talk to my other friends about different
things . ^_^
Is funny that you ask... I work in a callcenter an ovbiously I have my cubicle
decorated with action figures and some printouts. One day someone told me I saw
this cublicle and wondered who this person would be; we knew each other from the
center but she din't knew which was my cubilce and she said I never picture you
having this thing, so I said I lke them and I still like comics of all types
some are so deep that keeps me thinking for a while some are so vane but is ok.
So yeah I'm open about it and very agresive if someone makes fun of anyone who
would still like comics, manga or just play drawings . . . So far I have been
able to get people at least to be mindful of what the say, that's what U get
when U respect other people opinion they are force to respect yours.
Sometimes I am a littile on the conservitive side of not talking about Anime,
though if I notice someone else talking about it I will most likely listen and
sometimes try to add myself to the conversation. I find it important to be open
with some of the things you like otherwise you might not meet that other person
that could have the same interests
watching anime is just a part of who i am so i'm pretty open about it ... if
some one loses interest in me or have a low opinion of me souly based on that
then they arent really worth my time in the first place =P
I don't run around in circles, with my hands in the air, screaming "I'm
obsessed with anime!" but if the topic comes up I have no problem admitting
it.
I shouldn't be, but I am embarrassed about being an anime fan. I guess it's
because none of my friends watch anime, so I feel like I'm some kid watching
cartoons while my "more mature" friends have "more adult"
hobbies. I know watching anime is not childish but I can't help blushing
whenever someone finds out I like anime.

50/50 because i tell my friends like crazy but too other ppl not really
It depends on whether the other person is an anime fan too. If not I'll not start a topic on it.. haha
I am open about my being an anime fan.
(Even if it means being told by everyone in my neighborhood that I am the craziest man in the world. Oh, the humiliation...)
im very open about it

Well I'm only tell to those only interested in anime......
I'm kinda feel a little bit hurt when they define anime as "cartoon"..............
i am not afraid to say im an anime fan but its a hobbie that i like and i talk to my friends that are intrested and i talk to my other friends about different things . ^_^
i don't really announce it to everyone...
but they can see it in the way i do things.
i'm quite open about my feelings of being an anime fan. if there are other anime fans i would definitely be friends with them.
I didn't used to be open about it, but I've become more open over the years. It's just good cartoons, dunno why I hid it before.

Definitely! There 's nothing shameful about declaring love for Anime and Manga!
