I would say about 6 years old because I was watching Sailor Moon.. but it
was probably before that because I watched The last Unicorn and stuff.. but I
didn't get hooked on it until around 12 years old..
I probably saw a few animesâ€ Transformers and
Speed Racer come to mindâ€ when I was around
5-6, but I never knew them as anime. The first "real" anime I saw was
when the Sci-Fi channel was airing its Sci-Fi movie Saturdays, with shows like
Project a-ko, Record of the Lodoss War, Gall Force: Eternal Story, and Roujinz.
This began around 1996-1997 if I recall correctly, so I was about 14-15
then.
However, even then I never got "into" anime. I consider my true
introduction to anime to be my first year of college, when I was 19. Towards the
end of that year I moved into a new dorm room and met a couple of crazy otaku.
The first anime I was shown was Slayers, followed by Evangelion, Trigun, and
Dragonball Z. Slayers and Evangelion particularly hooked me, and from then on I
was hooked on anime.
I know I was really little and the first thing I can remember was Doraemon
(robot cat). I even had a metal toy of Doraemon where you loaded plastic balls
through his head and you could shoot out the balls through his magic pouch. As
you probabbly know Doraemon had his neat tricks in his special pouch. I still
have a Doraemon coloring book from those days somewhere.
i had to be around 4 or 5. i remember watching Voltron, Valley of the Wind (the
first Nausicca dub) and some other movie about these squirrels making a journey
somewhere. n.n; of course, i didn't really recognize it as 'anime' back then so
in all fairness, my first reintroduction to anime was probably either Tekkaman
Blade, DBZ or Sailor Moon either in 96 or 97.
i was about 7 or 8 when i was flipping through channels and this one channel was showing DB and DBZ.
i actually got hooked a little later, i was like around 12......

I started at around 3-5 years old. Mostly those old-school mecha anime that I can't even remember anymore...
I think i was like 14~15 the first time I saw anime, that I knew it was anime
,
if could have seen some in TV without knowing it was anime...

I think I was about 10 or so. I saw Ronin Warriors on TV early in the morning. Then DBZ was on later in the day or whatever.

My first anime series was Ronin Warriors. I watched this series when I was five or six in Hong Kong, can't remember it too well now.
Around 5 - 8. Had some Chinese dubbed or Japanese DBZ tapes and I loved it. I didn't really get into it until a year or two ago.
