Hello everyone! Yes, its that time of the year! Another contest Arent you
all excited? I can just see you jumping up and down for joy. haha. Anyways. So
we've decided to have a slightly different kind of contest this time with lots
of rules (we all know you love rules!)

The contest is a project and a contest combined. Thus called a
"purokon" (shortened the japanese way)! In japanese project is
pronounced "purojekuto" and contest is "contesuto" so
purojekuto + contestuto is purokon! got it? okay, moving on here.
Youre allowed to either participate in just the project, OR the project and the contest. You cannot be in only the contest because your
wallpaper must fit the project guidelines. easy enough so far right? Heres where
it gets a bit complicated.
The
Rules (dadadaduuum)
1. Your wallpaper must be at least 1024x768. We dont care whether its widescreen
or normal.
2. Only 1 entry per participant and it MUST be a wallpaper. No doujinshis.
Vectored, painted..whatever, we dont care.
3. Must be within the MT policy (obviously.) means no hentai, porn, etc.
Artistic nudity is allowed but just crazy panties showing and stuff will not be
allowed.
4. No collabs!
5. Your wallpaper may NOT show your entire character. (This only applies if you
use a character whether its an animal or human...if you do scenery dont worry
about it). Only 1 eye allowed to be showing! Its better if we cant recognize the
character on first glance. edit on this rule...its okay if you show their
entire body as long as theyre in shadow or something and you dont have
distinctive facial features and whatnot just to make it slightly
easier
Examples of a wallpaper that would NOT be accepted - Nocturne by
starrliteangel
okay, i understand this rule gets a little tricky so make sure you send me a
draft of your wallpaper of how its going to look before you start working on it
if youre not sure whether its acceptable or not.
6. Must follow project themes
PROJECT THEMES = YOUR COLORS ARE LIMITED. CHOOSE YOUR COLOR WHEEL WEAPON. YOU
MAY ONLY CHOOSE ONE. I REPEAT. ONLY ONE. dont be greedy now
- primary: red, yellow and blue only
- secondary: green, orange and purple only
- fall: orange, gold and brown only
- ocean: green, aqua and blue only
- night: black, blue and purple only
- sam/pinkprincesslacus: dark pink, light pink, hot pink...just PINK!
your wallpaper must ONLY have those colors. I dont care what kind of blue or
aqua or orange you use but it must be identifiable as that color! you may have
multiple types or blues, or aquas, or oranges. There isnt a limit on how many
hues of one color you have, you just have a limit on what basic color you can
use. Skin is allowed to stay skin-color. Now...as for you vectorers and painters
and re-cg-ers...*points* you guys know better than to leave skin color in there
because you all know what you're doing. I'll give you an exception if you want
to, but challenge yourselves.

ANYTHING THAT IS DIRECTLY RELATABLE TO YOUR COLOR WEAPON! you want examples?
primary color cannot do - a painter's wheel! haha

night color cannot do - nighttime scenes, evil scenes

vote and 50% judges' choice

Well I love contest so I'll try to enter, but it looks kinda hard for me . I think I

colors only flat as is? =.=
uhh.. ok.. for example, waller wants to choose fall colors - orange gold and
brown. are they allowed still to use shades lighter or a little darker than
orange as long as it's orange? O.o same goes to all other colors of d color
wheel.

yes, you can use different shades of gold and same for the other colors of the
color wheel. I just wouldnt stray too far out on the gold thing though, because
gold itself is hard to identify.
i'd like to say no, just because it would make it more challenging (because
people like to make all their outlines black and all their clouds white) but I
guess I'll take it if people do want to use black/white. keep it to a minimum
though and use it artistically rather than just for outlines or clouds.
one more question, do we have to use all
of our colours in the scheme? like say, I choose Primary, would I have to use
all of red, yellow and blue, or can I just use red and yellow?
