How many times have you died priincess?
What is the point of a test when you know the outcome? He knew the outcome of everyones supposed tests before even the first speck of matter, or even the universe was made. I'm sure god has done lots for people. Every tragedy or everything else for that matter, is gods fault. Accepting christianity would not be accepting god, but rather the bible. The bible is a incredibly flawed story, and whats more, no one knows where it came from. Accepting the bibles stories, is saying that I dont use logic, I put all my faith into something that doesnt describe the world. Thats all this religion is based on, faith, fear and reward.
as I said, a teacher should still giving tests to a student which he already knows that the student is stupid, to get better n better.
n He tests us to giving eternal life for people who ought to get it, n to go to heaven together with Him-he wont make the heaven dirty by sins people.
evry tragedy is warnings, n from those tragedy we can realize that He's here with us, n if the world is peaceful n nothing to suffer to, we cant serve or even realise that He's here, bcoz we would think that we already get evrything we need, there is no reason for us to pray. same as if u're injured, u're in pain, bcoz if no pain in our bodies, we would hurt ourselves.

n i said all of them based on the bible, based on wut God's said, program0. do u know more than God?
About the 2nd law of thermodynamics...
It says that the entropy in a closed system always increases. The Earth and the Sun are in the same system. The nuclear fusion that occurs in the Sun increases the entropy of the system. The decrease in entropy that happens in Earth is SMALLER than the increase in the Sun, so the result variation in entropy is positive. So there's no conflict with the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
Yeah, but we're talking about biology, not something else... so I don't get why people apply those to biology...
A teacher is not a good comparison to god. God knows the result of every test, if a teacher knew the result of every test there would be no need for one. Ive already gone over why god would know everything about every person before the universe begane and how he created adam and eve lead them to the problems on earth as well as giving us the materials for nuclear warfare. He is the root of all problems and every death you can think of, even if it was old age. Omnipotence means they know everything, which would also mean that even if he couldnt see into the future, he would be able to predict with 100% accuracy, but he can see the future which would put this idea that he gave us "free will" into even more doubt, because he cannot not know anything. Ive tried very hard to explain this again, if you still dont understand, just ask and I'll try to explain it more simply. Instant collaberation would be alot easier with these kinds of arguments.
The bible is written by man, not God.
God knows it but he wants us to do it, u know?
like a man who prays for Him, He knows wut the words he will say, but God still wants him to pray for Him." or, r u too lazy to do something for Him?
the bible is written by man who were guided by God. got it?
Got it. But on what basis? Why are you so sure of that? Did you see God guide those men to write it? All you have is faith that He did it. And I think it's better if you just leave it at that.
What proof have you of this?
I totally agree with this. I was raised Christian, believe in God, and ALSO support the evolution theory. No part of the theory says "the wolrd created itself," or the like. Who is to say that God, the Creator, Intelligent Designer, or any other figure you can think of didn't set the beginning into motion, and the rest then changed and evolved on its own?
And my question is: if you believe only in evolution and not a creator, how do you believe what is needed to evolve(molecules that cause the necessary reactions, etc.) came into existence? No, I'm not forcing ideas down your throat, I'm just curious how people will answer.
Well, many dogmas have their own theories as to the origin of man and such and that's where the controversy begins.
I don't know. The Big Bang Theory tries to explain this however and I happen to subscribe to that theory.
First of all I have transferred some of the purely religious question in to my Religions Talk Thread in an effort to keep this one on subject.
To EternalParadox and Sammy, thank you for showing that at least some people understand that trying to disprove creationism with evolution or vice-versa is useless since they deal with completely separate areas.
lol
same questions,again..
proofs?
the bible is the proof of all
can u feel that God's the one who speak in the bible.. i know He did.
i said that bcoz it's written in da bible if God guide them, by holy spirits
Are you telling me that the bible proves the bible? Don't you see the inappropriateness in that?
Priincess: God knows it but he wants us to do it, u know?
like a man who prays for Him, He knows wut the words he will say, but God still wants him to pray for Him." or, r u too lazy to do something for Him?
the bible is written by man who were guided by God. got it?
-But it does not make sense that he would make us not pray to him, put these ideas into our minds that hes not real and then deny us to heaven. He made so that we would not pray to him, why would he make us to deny us heaven and make us suffer eternal hell fire? I am not lazy, I just believe there is no god.
Well, the faith-based corollary to the Big Bang Theory is that God initiated the Big Bang. After all, Genesis 1:1 notes that in the beginning, prior to the Creation, "the earth was a formless void," and not an earth at all, which can possibly be the state prior to the Big Bang. Then God said "Let there be light," (Gen 1:3), and that "light" was the Big Bang.
This is merely one possible conjecture, but it again demonstrates that Evolution and the concept of God do not contradict each other.
i dont know wut were u trying to say, marfish..
if God isnt real, how can He deny us?
it's the same like this: atheists against God n they say that God isnt real. if He isnt exist, how can they against Him..?
we've to pray-all of us- bcoz thats how we can comunicate with God. it doesnt mean that if u pray, u'll go to heaven..no it's not. bcoz if u pray to Him but u do sins, n u dont want to repentance, u cant go to heaven

actually, by those suffers we can be closer to God. bcoz if we have peaceful life n we already got evrything we need, we cant know if God's exist.
Thats interesting. I never though about the Big Bang occuring at that point but it does sorta make sense. But if how it is phrased is true then the universe would be the same as the earth would it not?
I submit that the story of creation refers specifically to the Earth itself and not of the universe which could have already existed and that the light was the creation of the Sun instead. This would be borne out frmo the fact that humans had very little to go on at that time and would have focused on their own environment instead of the rest of the universe.
...What?
How can we be against him? We're not, we just don't believe in Him.
I think this she's invoking this logical truth:
Well, I'm convinced. LOL!
how can u dont believe Him if u think He's not real..?
AHA! yeah, it is.. ! READ FIRST, COMPLAINER..! evrything is in the bible, with parables, of course
Simple. I don't believe in him therefore I think he isn't real.
Does this mean that if I write a book that says you murdered 20 people across the nation, then it means it's true? The book proves itself after all.
