don't exist, because they're like an expression of what we like. Its normal to
drool over them as long as u consider real people better and hotter. If not,
that could be a problem
Anime characters can be made such that they have absolutely no flaw in them.
They can be drawn to be beautiful without any physical flaw and they can be made
to have personalities like that of a fantasy. We all have in mind what the IDEAL
mate would be, and anime takes those common threads that we all share with that
and realizes it on a television screen. Anime is succesful because it takes us
into a fantasy realm, having an amazing character makes the experience all the
better... and lets face it sells more products. If you didn't really like a
character, would you bother spending the $50 on the figurine... I doubt it.
We drool because they are perfect from head to toe.They are drawn to appeal to
all people and they have no flaws.They are our ideal boys/girls that we can not
find in real life but still dream to meet one.

People liking cartoon characters is not a new concept. Most people have had at
least one "crush" on a cartoon character at least once in their
lifetime even if they do not want to admit it (laugh). But I don't think it's any different from liking any
other fictional character. How come people never question those who idolize
movie, television, or even book characters which are nothing more than
"text on paper"?

fictional characters because they have human qualities and traits that we can
relate to, so sometimes we forget that they are fictional and become attached to

favourite characters, which then i did find that girl. except it came about on a
whole different. more zany.
well the point is anime and manga provide us fantasy, just like books did before
then. then we are compelled to want the life of our imaginations, though only
very few people are chosen to live that in reality, so dream and strive for the
dream an maybe you'll be one of those people who will acheive that reality.

one point: many anime characters who look cute are likely to have big eyes, nose almost level with the eyes. that could contribute
They are the ideal picture (at least to some degree) of what we desire in a partner. Period. Or they're just cute.
