Was there ever an anime tha t made u cry the first time U saw it? It has only happened to me once I cried near the end of the Haku and Zabuza arc off of Naruto. SOOOOOO....... has it ever happened to you?

I cried when L died in Death Note, then I stopped watching the series after that happened. . .and some other times.

I've cried in a few but what I mostly remember is Full Metal Alchemist, Gundam SEED, and Gundam SEED Destiny when Stellar dies(and other parts).I know that there are a lot more, but I can't remember them at the moment. I don't know why i cry. Maybe I'm just too emotional for my own good.

I cried exactly on the same part as well. I was actually sad for a while watching that. Also cried towards the last few episodes of Full Moon Wo Sagashite especially at the end. What an emotional roller coaster that was.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien... poor poor Haruka, not only did that show made me cry at all episodes except episode 1, it got me extremely depressed and made me get isolated from things in real life. I also cried at the Haku / Zabuza arc from Naruto but not really crying but more peaking a tear away. L dying in Death Note was a sad moment but thank god I could hold it in.

Oh yea and the scene from Elfen Lied where Nana gets chopped up in her fight with Lucy, because it was my first time I saw the series I thought she really died so I cried. I mean it was so sad you know, she did her best, she lost and she lost her legs and arms and then the person she sees as her own father comes in and the only thing she says is, I'm sorry papa, I'm sorry.. it was soooo sad.

And also Jigoku Shoujo, last episode of season 1 where Tsugumi-chan learns the truth about her mother, then Hajime tells Tsugumi-chan to send him to hell but she refuses, instead she cries and yells ''dont you like being around me!, do you feel hurt when you see me! didn't we had fun!'' soo sooo sad..

And finaly, Kanon 2006 made me cry, not all episodes but the part with the fox girl, makoto-chan I think, definatly not Ayu-chan but that fox girl.

Only happened to me once and after that I promised to myself never to cry again :).

The moment I'm talking about is the death of Makoto in Kanon. It was so sad and depressing :(.

Not really but i nearly did when Roxas dissappeared.
What really got was when he knew he had to face the fact that he was.It was like a "Oh Well"situation.

A few people in this thread have mentioned crying as if it were an unacceptable, disgusting emotion. I used to be the stereotypical American male, and think of crying as a sign of weakness, especially for men, and I, like others, have tried to uphold promises not to cry, but realized this was completely pointless because crying is only unacceptable and a sign of weakness because we label it as such.

Sorry I went off topic, but it was an interesting observation, and wouldn't mind a response to what I have said. Anyways...I have shed tears of joy after watching some episodes of Ah! My Goddess, and sorrowful tears after watching Elfen Lied (despite all of the blood, gore, and mass murder, I was able to sympathize, nay, empathize, with Lucy).

I would agree with you exoluc247. some peole do see the showing of emotion as the sign of weakness. Maybe it isn't that they see it as them being too weak but the idea that they were so easily overwhelmed by the emotions and images that had been viewed and felt on the show or shows that they were watching.
there were so many times that the situations in the anime or manga had brought tears to my eyes. one of the most recent was in the series Raxephan(or however it is spelled). When the main character runs away after leaving Tokyo Jupiter the second time he finds himself accompanied by one of his former friends that was quite fond of him. During their time together their feelings get stronger and you begin to see it and feel it with them. But the unavoidable muulian attack happens and he swears to protect her. One of the things he forgot about her was the fact that she had the muu-phase. She was the pilot-ish person for this aggressor and what damage and pain was done to it was done to her aswell. In the moments she knew would be her last she writes what she feels for the main character since she never really said it. As she wrote it the city lights would light to say it for her. the main character continued to fight thinking that he was protecting her and ignored the oddly lite buildings and signs. In his rage to defend her, gave the final blow and all that could be seen her last words silently illuminating the city, "good bye..."
I think that is the way it went. I can't quite remember every thing but that episode just really got me and it hurt to see that the thing he was defending was the thing he was killing and the love he had now found would be gone forever. glad i could share that with yall^_^

Some anime made me cry, even though I'm a heartless jerk

I cry during nearly every series I've watched (samurai troopers, cowboy bebop, X, Witch Hunter Robin, even Trigun and Hellsing), and I always cry during movies, especially Howl's Moving Castle. I get so wrapped up in the story and characters, my husband makes fun of me.

Wolf's Rain is the only anime that made me really cry, and i mean really cry because of the last three episodes and since it was a anime about wolfs it made me think about my dog which is 13 and i'd never really grappled with the notion that after coming home it 13 years that one day in the future it won't be there, till that point so it was like a double whammy the sadness of Wolf's rain and the sadness of coming to turns with my dogs death.

The only other one that i've actually cried is Strawberry Panic, sympathy for some of the characters and the plot sometimes. Another than those two I've really never cried, of course my eyes have watered and maybe a tear or two and of course getting into depressed states with other series.

Yes I've cried several times. One at the end of Kingdom hearts 1 and 2.
Then when Sasuke was fighting Itachi, and when Rock lee was trying to decide whether or not to get the oporation from Lady Tsunade. I promised myself I wouldn't cry again, but that didn't work out so well.
I also cried all the way through the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle series.

one of the times i cried was at the end of Air the movie. Full Moon wo Sagashite was another one that made me tear. the most recent show that i watched was Sola and that was definitely one of the saddest endings i have ever seen.

I cried and felt very depressed while watching the last episode of Chrno Crusade where Rosette cries she is scared and just wants to live a little longer. Only 16-17 years old...

I also cried a couple of times while watching Air TV. Really really sad...

crap i'm watching sola and chrno crusade right now well i guess better prepapre myself

omgsh I cried in FMA too. I cried in the begining, when Ed died, and the part when dog was hurt. It reminded me of my dog Charlie. He died of a strangling. :[[[ T_T

the endings of kanon and air both made me tear up a bit. as well as sola. its jus sad to see things like those happen to people

I'm a crybaby so I can cry ten times in five minutes. I hate crying since it makes my eyes swollen. Everytime I read a manga or watch an anime, when it comes to suffering scenes or heart-breaking scenes, I started cry like rain. The manga that made me cry the most was Fruits Basket. I like it the best, it has so much meaning. And especially the words describe in the story, I found it very touching.

i cried when saw eyeshield. Is it okay? especially when they gathered up to deatch march together....

The only anime that ever made me sort of close to crying would be Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. Great drama! I guess School Days is depressing as well, but incomparable to Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.

w00t. I'm not the only one that cried during the Zabuza and Haku arc. xD I cried alot to Naruto. Just all the stories on the characters or so sad. I think the music gets to me. :p

Grave of the Fireflies made me cry as well.
SMJ made me cry at the end. And so did Full Moons ending. But it was tears of happiness mixed with other emotions.
Also The Fruits Basket made me cry as well!

I think the anime I cried the most at was
Samurai X.
I cried so hard. And even when it was over I just kept crying. xD
Very sad ending...now when I watch it again. I cry before the end. Cos I know what happens. <- good movie to cry too.

I think Bobobo makes me cry (in a bad way) There is no point in that show and it insults other peoples intellgence. But as for Naruto it makes me cry (in a good way) when there is a sad moment like when Haku died, they had the right words to say and the right music playing to make a sesitive person cry.

hm, doesn't happen very often to me. needs to be a story that really touches you. I only cry at Drama animes though,,, the best one was Kanon 2006. a real heart touching story
