I think Guilty Gear X2 is thebest fighting game ever. Incredable 2d graphics ,
great and original character design and backgrounds, one of the best soundtracks
I have ever heard for a fighting game and the story is awesome. Now to the
gameplay, its fast paced and is incredably deep I have never been able to do in
any other fighting game what is made possible in this game. Cancelling special
moves in mid air to start an aerial combo, fantastic juggles etc; the roman
cancel sysetem is unbelievable. Plus it is a game that requires strategy and
even tho it takes a while to master , you will feel accomplished when you do.
Also it is one of the few fighting games that have a high replay value with many
different modes. Anyway sorry for rambling but GGX ROCKS!
I think the marvel vs capcom series is the best i mean what could be better then
seeing world filled with great hero's and villians go head to head. my personal
favorite is marvel super hero's vs street fighter. after that would probraly be
the tekken series, rumble roses to bad the XX version came out on the x-box 360
instead of the playstation 2.

like Guilty Gear XX and Samurai Spirits/Samurai Shodown! Altho the ones you
listed are pretty cool.
Guilty Gear X2. For it originality and depth as a fighting game. The 3d ones are
great like Soul Calibar but I still like GG alot more. The characters aren't the
same crap like you see in all 3d fighting games and they are unique with screwed
up weapons.
You wont find crappy/horrible Bruce Lee type characters here, unlike SC, Tekken,
DOA and MK. (Maxi, Law, Jann Lee, Liu Kang). Or crap which has the same fighting
style in all the games. Karate, Drunken Fighting, Kick Boxing,
Wrestling/Grappers etc. All thoses 3d games are the same. There is nothing
different. They suck. Screw realism. Mortal Kombat died because it went 'real'.
DOA looks likes moving Barbie Dolls (which no-one will admit), Tekken feels so
STIFF. Virtual Fighter is too too slow and blocky.
Guilty Gear Slash is missing. I like Guilty Gear because the art is cool and the
fights move really quickly and the combo system is terribly clever in my
opinion.
But I do have another game I like, it's a doujin game and it's a toss up between
Eternal Fighter Zero and Melty Blood series.
Soul Calibur has got to be my favourite serious fighting game, however for a bit
of fun, especially with more than 2 players, Smash Bros has got to be the way to
go.
2-D- Guilty gear without a doubt. The graphics are great and the fighting is
just addictive.
3-D- Definately Dead or Alive. Graphics are absolutely mind-blowing. Combat is
deep and almost too fast, which leads to kick-ass, lighning-speed battles.
Counter system rocks.
I'd have to give it to Smash Bros. (original not Melee). It was fun and
original. It was also all very much tongue in cheek. It was light-hearted and
fun. Not all serious and morbid like so many of them were (are) such as Mortal
Kombat. I mean all the characters looked like cute cudly little
plushies............until they ripped your head off. It was priceless kicking
around an electric rat with a pink beach-ball-looking thing that carried a blue
sword. Could life really be any better than that?
I will have to say that I'm itching to try out Soul Cal. and Guilty Gear.

playing the series since it started and I'm happy that it's still around. It's
interesting how years after 2D games were proclaimed "dead," 2D
fighters are still pretty popular.

the most. But i would add Guilty Gear, because i enjoy this game a lot and it's

Guilty Gear series by far. 3D-fighters has never been the same after playing it. Capcom VS SNK is also quite good, but it feels a bit more rough.

Mortal Kombat is and will forever be the Best Figter ever i'm surpised its not in this poll so i will settle for Soul Calibur
