Most powerful character? Hnnn I may say Hiei from Yu yu Hakusho or maybe Kurama the two of them are each really powerful characters personality wise and physically and because they have such powerful personalities a lot of people can identify with them and find them funny/amusing/awesome and hence they become favs to a lot of fans.

I see that Goku is coming out on tops here, but I doubt that he's the most powerful. Power doesn't come from strength alone.

If there was an anime version of Galactus or Mr. Mxyzptlk (reality-altering powers) I'd go for that. (judging from earlier posts, that sounds a little like Haruhi) That way, no matter how much physical damage is done by a certain bruiser, someone with their powers could just as easily reverse the damage.

I mean no disrespect to DB fans out there. I'm just saying that the power to create is, in many respects, stronger than the power to destroy.

Clearly speaking it depends on what you count as strength and is more fair to say strongest when you compare among same genre.........anyways .......in matter of physical strength from the poll i chose Naruto just because he has the Kyuubi.....but that is not the only thing that makes him strong...but also his will and character......factors than can very much can be said about Bleach's Ichigo, Hitman Reborn's Tsuna and other anime characters......
