Baccano! and Bokurano were the ones that have impressed me the most this year, with Gurren Lagann and Romeo X Juliet being pretty high up there as well. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai also delivers.

However, there are a few I haven't formed solid opinions on because we're not that far into them, so I do think it's a bit early to judge on "best." However, barring Gundam 00 turing into something truly spectacular (which it most certainly can), I have a feeling my pick will start with a "b"

Hmm.. currently my favorite is Claymore like enchantressinthedark said, its a bit bloody but it still has a good story. Cant get enough of claymore.

hmmnn... havn't seen them all but 4 the one's ive seen I have to pick Claymore as my fav 4 this year. Genshiken,Shakugan no shana and Kaze no Stigma's 2nd season is also good. >=0! And 4 some unknown reason which is unlikely of me I find Shugo_Chara amusing.

The best anime this year for me would be Claymore!

Darker than Black - Kuro no Keiyakusha and Deathnote. In my opinion.
i liked Deathnote's first part better than the second part. And as for Darker Than Black... i would prefer to have an alternative ending.

2) Naruto (if a dled it, cuz i can fast forward. You do know they spend alot of time showing stagnant characters in tight situations. All u do is listen to the reapeating BGM. That's why animes can last 100+ episodes anyway...marketing tactics...)

4) Claymore (If u exclude the final episode. 100% gurantee that it is incomplete storyline. VERY incomplete stroyline. )
5) Shakugan
Maybe Gundam00 / Dgrayman shares the same spot...
