They're both good hand-held systems from what I played on them, but it just
comes down to what you prefer. In this situation, I think you should compare it
more like this: which system has more games that you like on it, or is there a
particular game you want the most? I hope that helps!
A DS is much better since its cheaper and the touch screen is very fun to play
around with. Also there are games on the DS that let you go on Wifi which makes
it even better.
seriously who buys the psp for movies and music? i have to buy a psp and a 4gb
memory expansion for it to be useful as a music player it is better to invest in
an ipod
The DS is just a fun handheld to play, many of the game concepts are fresh and
they have better first-party support. Nintendo knows what it is doing when it
comes to handhelds.
DS's games are fun to play and most of them are unique and overall great
games.
Out of all my game systems, I play DS the most.
Also, you can get your DS to turn into a music player and go on the internet
with the right equipment.
I also use it as my alarm clock and doodle pad...
as for PSP, the screen is definitely very pretty. ^^
but I don't know anything else about it.
well lets see here DS and PSP are both very good but im a sonyfanboy so id say
psp but nintendo DS is the winner in the handheld market...
ds has alot of great games...
altho ppl may tend to say psp has no/crap games thats so not true...
eventho the psps libary of games isnt tremendous such as DSs libary the psp
does have a good ammount of games...
and with recent news from sqaure enix.. psp will be getting
FF7 Crisis Core
Endless Crisis FF7 it might be ps3 or psp not yet announced...
Kingdom Hearts Zero
Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy Fighter Game - Has not yet been confirmed for a NA
release
and thats just sqaure support theres still a alot more support coming
in
I would go with PSP as well.
I like the extra fuctionality of the PSP as well as most of the games. I have
around like or 10 now and I'm pretty happy with about 8 of those, so for those
road-trips, I'm fine.
my opinion is DS just because Nintendo pwns with the game play n stuff, psp is
just lieka regular ol'gameboy with graphic upgrades =p...defnetly go with a DS
A lot of people don't get the PSP because its library of good and well-known
games is much smaller than that of the DS. The DS has all those mario games, and
loads of novel games that use the touch screen and microphone features. And of
course, you cannot forget pokemon! The PSP on the other hand, it's not easy to
find good games for it, but there are some nice RPG's such as the Legend of
Heroes series and Final Fantasy. The PSP also has technically better screen and
much crisper graphics in my opinion, plus it has a control stick. However, the
DS has all those extra features which allow you to draw and point, etc.
So I think you should go for the system that has the games you want to play.
Would you rather play pokemon or loco roco? Cooking Mama or Valkyrie Profile?
the choice is yours ^_^
both...... no i really mean both
thats if you don't hav ean ipod.. .if you already have an ipod get a ds =3
cause you can use a psp for music.. so.. kind of a waste =P... but for psp ...
it has some decent games... =/.... you can mod it like i did and play ps1 games
and gba games or w/e ( playing xenogears again on psp ) ... ummm and get a ds
cause its sick =0...... phoenix wright pwnz0rs =p and jump ultimate stars is
best fighting game ever .. i don't got an ipod though so =P i use my psp for
music
Well it boils down to what you want. Off the bat PSP can do movies and music
(mocied from either UMD based or ones from a memory stick)
The DS does have a different way to play albiet not all games use it to full
advantage and there are a few rehash games like ridge racer.
With the DS you can buy a device called M3 simply or the R4DS (which are
basically the same and use microSD cards for the storage) there are a couple
others out there, but basically it lets you do homebrew stuff such as SNES and
NES games, irc, msn, web browsing, play music and videos
Thats not to say that the psp cant do homebrew as well with a little know how.
Also the psp has a built in web browser as well
Simple answer, Sony PSP, once you crack the firmware (extremely easy) you have
an all console in one. nes, snes, gba, gb, gbc, ps1 , psx, sega, dreamcast, n64,
nintendo DS, name it you can play it on the PSP fast and excellent graphics.
See which console has more games you like and which one it will release more
wonderful games for you. Personally I own a Nintendo DS but I wouldn't mind buy
a PSP for the reason you can play lots of emulators perfectly.
seriously, there should be no doubt about this...i don't even know how the ds
can come up with an arguement. PSP is what is better if I must tell you. Besides
it is having better selling than the ds...if you overlook the fact that it
attracts little kids. But the PSP can support mp3's, videos, better wi-fi, and
you can also put visual novels like tsukihime and kagetsu tohya on it. But it
depends also on the games that you want. For the type of games that I want I
would get the PSP...and most of the people that i know have PSP's...the ratio is
something like PSP/DS=10/1...think about it...
You can hack the PSP to play emulators and stuff, and you can save games via the
memory stick and play them that way. But I would personally pick the DS. I'm not
trying to hype up the PSP or anything, but there IS a wide range of hacks
available for it.
Nintendo DS is the best handheld gaming system yet (in my opinion)...it may not
have better graphics than the psp...but it's games are alot more interesting,
challenging, fun, and they have so many different genres...unlike psp who mostly
just has racing, fighting, and rpg games....i would definatley suggest DS
because you can also play GameBoy Advance games on it....it pretty much rocks!^^
i have been stressing over which one to buy. Both have excellent game.
can anyone recommand me?
Depends on what you want out of it. PSP has more mature games usually, and has music and movies, which as far as I know, the DS does not have.
The DS is unique though, in gameplay and the games themselves. And you can draw on it.

DS hands down 1 cart multi player can be fun since many of us have different games

DS has some truly awesome puzzle games. Big brain Academy is cool.
But the PSP has ALOT of games, music, and movies...
I honestly don't know which you prefer, but I'd buy a PSP...

one cart multi player was the big seller for me with the ds. i hated how u needed to have a copy of a game to play a friend
both......

ds by far. better range of games and the dual screen kicks butt. why do i need an psp for music when i have my ipod?
Both!
