If you talk about the Engine, just compare Screenshots between HL1 and HL2 and
you wil see one big difference. For sure.
And there's also the Havok Physic Engine, the awesome Facial Gestures and I'm
sure the Story's also great.
I have been expecting the game for a long time and I know it will be great
either way. Valve and Sierra are two top notch companies when it comes to games
and software. But if you are afraid that you will end up disappointed just do
what I do for most things: Low Expectations = Low Disappointment, No
Expectations = No Disappointment.

I am one of those people who rants about this game, I still think it will beat
halo 2 easily. Mostly becasue one reason they had to push back the release date
was becasue the game was 'too good.' The enimes would run out and kill you, the
second time throw a grenade then roll out and kill you, and the third time they
would throw a grenade at a bridge above you jump through a window and let the
bridge fall on you. I really want it.
Not a FPS fan either, but there is a lot of talk about this game. Wasn't pushed
back like 20 times and shit? GI gave it a 9.5, but I was expecting a 10 by how
everyone was talking about it.
OK (i'm a big fan but not crazy until i play it) the engine difference is that
half-life was on a third party engine (quake i think) but HL2 is totaly Valve.
The best thing will be that you can push tables in the way of doors and
manipulate everything. Not only will you be able to move stuff but the AI will
do different things depenfing on what you do. Also you wont have ever seen
players and levels better than this (still, halo2 is sweet). People have been
waiting from 2003 thats why everyone knows about it.
Well Halflife 2 looks great and I've seen other games based on the engine that
is looking awesome. Im more interested in Vampire bloodlines then HalfLife 2
actually but Im gonna play HL2 as well since I really enjoyed halflife.

I'm not a FPS fan, so I Half Life was never a game for.
But from what I've heard, HL2 will be amazing due to the graphics and physics used in it.
