Ok i re-edited this so it makes more sense. Yesterday my platoon seargeant told
a subordinate to get down on her knees and push (He wasnt dropping her for push
ups!) and then today someone quit drill team cuz of the Commander's comment. and
i dont know what it was but gossip started and somehow it ended up that he said
for her to give head with a rifle (Again i dont know if its true) newayz its bad
that it happened once but two times in a row is rediculous

JROTC and my platoon seargent gets fired for telling one of his cadets to get on
their knees and push (not push-ups) then i end up watching a stupid video in
study hall about sexual harrassment. newayz later on today it happens again to
another girl rumors and gossip happen (it only took 10 mins too) and some how it
ends up the guy told her to give head with a rifle neways she ends up leaving
drillteam and color guard for it I get real defensive around women i dont know
why but this pisses me off that it happened two times in a row. Ne1 who would
like to post their opinions may do so
Right so i'm in JROTC and my platoon sergent(sp?) gets fired for telling one of
his cadets to get on their knees and push. (not push-ups)So I end up watching a
stupid video in the study hall about sexual harrassment. Anyways later on today
it happened again to another girl. Rumors and gossip go around quickly (it only
took 10 mins too) and somehow the guy ends up telling her to give head with a
rifle and she ends up leaving drillteam and color guard for it. I get real
defensive around women, I dont know why but this pisses me off that it happened

Wow, I was in JROTC, achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant before I left.
Technically your Platoon Sergeant gave the wrong command. It's "Drop and
knock out "insert number" pushups. This way it shouldn't be consider
sexual harrassment. I stilll think he shouldn't have been fired for such little
mistakes.
he shouldn't have been fired for crap like that and anyways that wasn't sexual
harassment tell whoever it was that fired the sergeant to look in a goddam
dictionary and find out the meaning of it

really i think people(especally girls) are to sentive about stuff like this. If
a girl did it to the girl i doubt it would be conidered sexual harrassment, as
so if a guy did it to a guy, and a girl did it to a guy. I got in trouble last
year cause this girl told the office I was bothering her, when really all she
was upset about was me staring at her. and on a side note i was not looking at
her, just in her direction. and she was pretty, and very large breasted. i would
have gone out with her if she was not such a bitch, and redneck. she also told
the office i keep going by her class room and making jesters about her breasts.
which was also a lie! luckly i avoid anything bad. but in the same year, a girl
in my class patted my butt twice. I did it to her once and she got mad at me.
sexual harrassment laws are onesided and to sensitive.

In any military or paramilitary profession or group, you have to have a thick
skin about this sort of thing. Otherwise you may as well not be in that
profession at all. Now if he were really sexually molesting her, that is an
issue. If he was misinterpreted, this is ridiculous.
the only sexual harassment I ever had was from a kid, he got suspended for three
days and him and all his friends hated me for it the rest of the school year,
had a ten year reunion recently and not one of them remembered it...sad...but
onto the point in question JROTC, as I gradulated with lieutant rank, should be
a place of people actually being role models, as all teachers should, but JROTC
don't just represent teachers but also the military in general... but if it's
heresay not much can be done about it unless you trace the source and then see
if it's true or not, that is grounds of being fired and disbanned from the
military too, so do take steps carefully in reporting this, if wouldn't hurt to
report and tell them "I heard..." and then let them do their own
investigation...trust me the process is slow when hearsay is started but in the
end if it really happened it would be the JROTC instructor's fault and he will
be corrected for it
Men think it's one-sided, but considering that the vast majority of all sexual
harassment cases involve men making crude gestures/comments or even touching
women inappropriately, I'd say it's more than justified. I'm speaking as the
victim of a sex crime and sexual harassment.
As for the JROTC processes, I'm not familiar with any of them, but from a legal
standpoint, unless you can prove your CO is/was innocent of the charges, there's
nothing you can do.
Lmfao god looking at my opening post from two years ago, I've changed a lot in
terms of my writing. Anyways the guy who was under investigation was an idiot
anyways. He would always get the living s**t beat out of him in school, so he's
gone and I'm in College. Can a mod close this please? Or perhaps this thread
could be used for other sexual harassment cases, that the members want to talk
about.

Um... so he told her to push, on purpose, attempting sexual harrasment?
